Years ago the local VFW had an excellent program for young shooters. Provided shooting instructions , a place to shoot and even helped with the purchase of a BB gun . Today with the demonization of anything gun related the program is basically defunct. Our club still promotes and has a league night that has a pretty good participation level of young shooters .However, I have noticed over the last couple of years the lack of new shooters. Mommy and daddy would much rather they sit around and get fat and lazy eating junk and playing video games.
Congrats to this fine young man on his Excellent accomplishment!
