Your favorite types of targets?

So I know there are quite a few kinds of popular targets that people like to shoot.

Some examples are B27, ICE QT, the typical IPSC/USPSA/IDPA silhouette... I've also tried the FBI Q.

What are some other popular "standardized" targets that you guys like to shoot, whether they're from official government agencies/sources or otherwise?

Primarily looking for the most popular ones though. Thanks!

Okay, shameless self-promotion aside, I'm trying to see what targets people like to shoot so I can re-create them on my site for easy printing.

I normally use any type of splatterburst/reactive targets. It comes in handy being able to see where you hit.

Yeah, that's a tough sell on my part when it comes to promoting my site. There is technically a good way to make a printed target a "splatter target". Simply back it with construction paper and it makes a good difference in my experience. But that only complicates things.

The absolute cheapest I can find. I need nothing fancy. When I go to my land, I fill old milk/jugs with sand or water and shoot away.

Right after Halloween, I buy an entire crate of pumpkins from a guy local and shoot the hell out of them. I leave the shot pumpkins for the deer to eat.

I also love shooting steel. I got a guy that I get plates from pretty cheap.

I also enjoy me some "pumpkin carving". I just do it a different way than everyone else. Ever tried shooting frozen water bottles? I was extremely impressed with shooting then with a variety of calibers including .22, .223 and even my Crosman 1377 airgun. The way they shatter chunks is very cool!

I've definitely thought of salvaging steel for shooting. What would be my best sources for obtaining steel that is suitable even for lighter calibers?

Wow, seems pretty affordable.

Have you tried just going to scrapyards and trying to salvage plates that way? Only downside is you'll have little to no clue on the exact steel you're getting.

I may just make a day of that at some point.

I like shooting clays. Reactive targets are way more entertaining and enjoyable.

I utilize a Cit-tac steel for reactive 60% targets and for paper thats easily printable i use Mayhem Syndicates throttle target, baer solutions standard, guerrilla approach and Haley targets. All free and printable offline

Yeah, I was actually going to ask if you guys had tried it. It's a really good target in my experience and one of my favorite drills.

At our old indoor range we used to hold an "ornament" shoot after Christmas and a "peeps" shoot after Easter - fun but messy clean up at the end.
