Like the women I saw putting one of those Ukraine flags on her front lawn. I asked what it was for. She said "I support Ukraine" I asked if she had family fighting there she said no, I asked if she sends money to them, again, no. So I said so its just virtue signaling. Instant melt down, head shaking like it was gonna explode, screaming, both my dogs out the window of the car howling like she was. These Euro trash mother fuckers love him so much, let them give him the aid we have been giving him. After all they are concerned about Russia going beyond Ukraine into their countries.
I have to wonder if Trump hasnt already made a deal with Putin to get those mineral rights when we stop feeding Ukraine money and arms and Putin walks in and takes the place.

Many of you probably watched what took place between Donald Trump and Zelenskyy tonight. Whether you're a Democrat or a Republican, you might be thinking to yourself, Oh my God, Donald Trump just screwed up.
However, as a lifelong practitioner of martial arts, strategy, and philosophy, let me explain the difference between what you believe you witnessed and what actually happened.
Donald Trump has been under constant political persecution since the beginning of his first term. Over time, he has learned to be patient and calculated.
Tonight, Zelenskyy was invited to the Oval Office. However, both Trump and JD Vance knew exactly what Zelenskyy was going to do—he would use this opportunity, in front of the American people, to make a power play. Both Trump and Vance anticipated this.
When Zelenskyy began appealing to the emotions of the American people, JD Vance stepped in, accusing him of disrespecting Donald Trump. This was brilliant strategy. It’s important to understand that Zelenskyy is trying to gain access to NATO.
Trump knew this but could not allow it to happen. If Ukraine joins NATO, the U.S. would be bound by NATO’s collective defense agreement—an attack on one is an attack on all.
Now consider the larger implications: Ukraine and Russia despise each other. If Ukraine were to become a NATO member, any future skirmish between them would obligate the U.S. to enter into direct conflict with Russia. This would mean World War III. And if that happened, China would have to choose a side—they would almost certainly align with Russia.
So what you witnessed tonight was a setup. Trump and JD Vance knew that the only way to achieve peace was to strategically align, at least on the surface, with Russia. Why? Because Russia would never sign a peace treaty if Ukraine were admitted into NATO.
This is why Trump dismantled Zelenskyy’s argument. And when Zelenskyy, seeing his play failing, tried to backtrack and offer a treaty, Trump refused.
Zelenskyy’s real intent was clear—he would not agree to peace unless security guarantees were in place. But what was he actually saying? That NATO must accept Ukraine. However, Russia would never agree to peace, knowing that NATO, their historical adversary, would surround them.

NATO should get the same treatment as Ukraine.
When working with Europe benefits The United States, we will do so. The "Free Shit Express" must end. We've got our own monumental fiscal problems. We can no longer be Europe's defense force while they spend their should-be defense budgets on massive socialist welfare programs and on illegal aliens that are destroying them from within. All the while, Europe criticizes us for not being the compassionate socialists that they are.
That said, using Ukrainian forces to deploy our older equipment to degrade a near peer military is not an unacceptable expenditure. It could, actually, be cost effective....especially from an "American lives saved" perspective. Heck, Zelenskyy is apparently willing to continue to feed his people into a meat grinder and fight to the last Ukranian (not him personally, of course).
I'd always expected Trump to get Zelenskyy in a private meeting and say, "Listen here, you little shit. Without us, you've got nothing. You'd be dead already. You're on borrowed time. Settle this, now. Give up some territory. Stop your people's suffering. We'll help Ukraine get rich through very lucrative, mutually beneficial, mining deals. I'll even let you blame me for conceding the territory so you can save face and look strong." Well...most of that happened very publicly.
With regards to Zelenskyy, you can lead a horse to water....

Can someone tell me when the US became great friends with Russia? I don’t remember growing up in this country with love and trust in my heart where the USSR (now Russia) was concerned, yet here we are in 2025 with a suddenly much different outlook on Putin than one might expect. I’ve heard that over 80% of Americans polled do not trust Putin. That tells me that we, THE PEOPLE, do not find an ally, friend, or partner in Russia, but our administration trusts Putin to keep a deal. WTF?

My thought experiment here is Russia could have the crimea and eastern parts of the country and Poland could absorb the west. This would give the west "NATO" status I suppose, but then Russia would also have its buffer zone.
My main thing here is that I don't really care to spend any more American lives or money on a country that isn't grateful at all.

I said it many times before, there will be no deal. Russia will meet its goals and leave western Ukraine as a buffer zone and nobody can stop them .
There is always a possibility that the whole thing was staged for the cameras with Zelensky as willing participant. It made him look as not a puppet of the West for home audience. Not saying that this in fact happened, just a possibility. I am sure Russian side keeps that in the back of their minds. In the end resolution to this conflict will be based on actions, not words.

The USA should not belong to any European military alliance. NATO should have died when the USSR ceased to exist.

The British sent a battalion, the Dutch sent an infantry company, Canada sent the largest contingent of every other country, a few countries sent a single aircraft....and that was about 1/2 of their total military force.
Right now the British Army could not put a brigade in the field. The same level of non-existent military power goes across the field of all NATO countries with the exception of Poland.
The majority of American people do not want war with Russia. The majority of Americans do not care about what goes on in Europe. Only 20% of Germans say they would fight to defend their country. They want USA to defend them from Russia, but they wanted to buy natural gas from Russia.

What do *ANY* of us really know about Putin? I believe he loves his country. I believe he thinks he’s in the right. I believe he has good intentions in reunification. I believe Putin pulled Russia out of NATO in 2021 and then warned NATO not to allow Ukraine to join. I believe Putin is a bombastic leader. I believe Putin is very intelligent, and very unwilling to change.

He was also pro very western during the communist years after haveing earned a Masters degree in economics , also holds a degree in Law from st Petersburg. Haveing spent time in Germany , He is also fluent in German, he saw the benefits and wealth of the west and He helped with perestroika and the opening up of the iron curtain, . During the break up of the soviet union Ukraine had signed an agreement that they would remain neutral in exchange for thier independence . with the exception they could never Join NATO .
