The other day I saw a ZRDelta Modulus deployment pack and asked if the slides would fit my Poly 80s.
The deployment pack for the Modulus pistol (now discontinued) was around 400 bucks it came with Glock 17 and 34 length complete slide assemblies (milled for red dots), back straps, mag wells, dust covers, and front strap to make the G19 size Modulus pistol a pistol pack of sorts. I took a chance they would fit and bought the set. Only to find out that they will fit and work if you swap out the barrel for a gen3 barrel and recoil spring assembly. Not a big deal but kind of disappointing.
So I go back to the gun store and buy a ZRDELTA one pistol for 400 bucks figuring the same company made both the Modulus and the One so the slide assemblies should fit the One pistol. Well not quite I did have to swap out the gen3 style back plates for a Glock gen5 back plates.
So for about 800 dollars I ended up with a pistol which can be converted from a G19 to a G34 sized handgun and every possible combination in between. G34 slide with a G19 grip, G19 Slide with a G34 grip with a race gun mag funnels. The combos are going to be fun.
I put together the G34 sized gun and headed to the range today. Have to say the trigger is probably the best I have felt on a Glock style gun without going to the Timney Competition Trigger. Once you took up the slack you could feel the wall, the trigger broke at about 4 pounds, which is pretty sweet on a Glock style gun. It did seem to group 124 grain bullets better than the 115s. I was out there to test the functions of the gun before I go for small groups. However, the line up the sights and empty the mag accuracy is acceptable for 10 yards. It functioned without a hiccup I managed to put about 65 rounds through it today in between shooting my 1911 double stack 45s (Para, Springfield, RIA).
Not sure what I am going to do with the Modulus Deployment pack parts (minus slides). Unless I can find a Modulus pistol they are pretty much useless to me.
