Now I understand this is mostly a personal preference thing, but being new to handguns I have no experience in this area, and looking for advice on manufacturers to look into and absolutely avoid. I will be purchasing a Walther PDP-C tomorrow as my first handgun. My current preference for carry will be right handed at the 3 o'clock position, IWB, spare magazine @ 6 o'clock. Future holster ( winter) will most likely be shoulder, but in the interim I'm wondering who you would recommend?

plastic or leather? My EDC holster for a G27 is a leather OWB pancake from SideGuard Holsters, Side Guard Holsters - Home Page for Custom Leather Holsters . Use it everyday has good retention and IMO comfortable to wear.
I own holsters from both of these companies. They are durable and comfortable.

There are a lot of options. I recently bought one on Etsy...everyone thinks its craft type stuff but there are some good custom made holsters on there. You are supporting small business too.
Holy hell is there a variety of em. I want something comfortable, IWB, adjustable ride height and cant for an active lifestyle with decent positive retention. Will be worn while working a manual labor job.Clip on would be a plus. To be worn at 4 o'clock, with a separate spare magazine holder to be worn @ 7-9 o'clock. Kydex preferred, unsure about hybrids ( safe for the trigger? ). Must fit a Walther PDP-C, 4 inch.

I love my comp-tac infidel ultra max. I have carried all day everyday for probably 8 years with this. I just got a new Glock 48 and all I had to do was buy the kydex part for the new gun. The leather part has formed to me and I don't even notice I am carrying most of the time.

As for the Koala (mag carrier) it has different settings for a cross pin bolt whatver you want to call it, so you can adjust how high or low your magazine carries in it..
Longer mags. Lower the pin and they carry deeper, shorter mags raise it up and it brings them up.. if that makes any sense... pin and height settings circled in blue

One thing I really appreciate about the JM Custom Kydex IWB holsters is how they use 2 clips just lateral to each side of the body of the gun. They are the only ones I know of that purposely do this for 2 reasons. First and foremost by spreading the clips in such a fashion it lessens the bulge of the pistol when carrying, especially AIWB. Second it is more stable in regards to one big clip related to side to side movement of the holster.

Yes, yes, hallelujah yes! The Blackpoint Tactical Mini Wing is one of the best IWB holsters on the market! Yes they cost $30 more than many competitors' kydex holsters. However when you wear one you will see where that extra money went.
Called average Joe's today. Very friendly on the phone and helpful. Unfortunately they do nothing carry any holster that fits my gun.
I've had a few different holsters before I settled in on a crossbreed supertuck I like them very much. They're hybrid 1/2 leather and 1/2 kydex. Good retention and super comfortable. Been a long time since I bought one think the two options that I got were horse hide leather upgrade and combat cut which makes the footprint a bit smaller. Pair it up with a Crossbreed belt and don't look back. Founder passed away a few years ago not sure if anything has changed as far as quality and service. Both were great when I purchased (I think I have five of their holsters but only use two regularly).
I'm intrigued. How well does the clip hold up against a draw? Does it slip much? Does the holster overall remain pretty much in place even during a draw? Is it easy to re-holster one handed?
Looked at them. Seems like a potential candidate. How does it do with the draw? Stay in place well? Is re-holstering easy 2 do 1 handed?
