New York Gov. Kathy Hochul knew that Bruen would go against her state. As a result of that decision, a number of other measures were passed through, measures that looked to adhere to the decision. At least, they would if you squint.
One of those measures is that authorities can scour your social media to see if you have the proper “good moral character” New York seeks to demand from those seeking permits.

However, some recent comments are rather suggestive as to what this is really about.
She then discussed social media, saying, “I’ve called upon and am working closely with our Attorney General to identify what’s going on in social media. And those questions are now part of our background checks. Just like in the old days you could talk to someone’s neighbor, now you can talk to their neighbors online to find whether or not this person has been espousing philosophies that indicate they have been radicalized.”

In other words, she wants issuing officials to look at your social media history and determine if you have the wrong opinions on particular issues.

What about the requirement to provide your social media IDs? Do I still have to give up my 1st Amendment Rights to be able to get permission from the .gov to exercise (in a SEVERELY limited fashion) my 2nd Amendment Rights?

How is the state going to look at my account? I have to accept a friend request from some law enforcement cuck so they can look at my account? Outside of my business, I don’t post much so I doubt there’s really anything to worry about for me

As I have said before, for those that have social media, if you have a private profile they can't see shit. There is no magic profile they have to view private pages. They would have to go the legal route to gain access and that would mean warrants, etc. I hate Facebook, but they have been clear on their policies. Furthermore, they cannot ask for your password, that is a serious violation of privacy. So I say give them the links, screw it, but make sure your account is locked down good.

Hell I think I am going to make a Facebook page, put the 2nd Amendment text as my profile pic, and lock it down. I will gladly give them the link so all they see are the words of the 2nd Amendment.

They censored discussions regarding Hunter's laptop, as well as other things, at the request of the F.B.I. They have essentially admitted they provide information when the .gov asks for it, no warrant require (it's a private company, after all!). You don't think they'd open up your profile faster than Monkeyface or heil hochul opened up jail cells if the State Police asked them pretty please with oppression on top?

It is possible, but I have yet to hear about them willingly giving up profile information for non criminal reasons. Maybe I am wrong and they have, but just going on their status quo. I hate them just as much as the rest of us, hence why I refuse to use it.
