Look close. Is that a toy or maybe an airsoft gun ? It certainly isn't a real AR. This pink haired freak is trying waaayyy too hard to look like she means business, but I don't think any serious people with an IQ above their shoe size is buying any of it. I know I'm not.

Ok, for a few days after the shooting I listened to radio stations talk about the causes and solutions to this and other shootings. My first thought is that I am absolutely bewildered by the ignorance and complete idiocy of 99.99% of the callers - people that ostensibly live and walk among us saying things that they actually believe are intelligent and possible, and will "make a difference". People calling for complete registration of all firearms ( not considering that literally millions of everyday citizens have machining abilities and can make anything they are determined to, not to mention the fact that tens of millions of existing guns will never get reported to the registration list ) to complete confiscation which in itself is an impossibility. Then those calling for stricter background checks ( what more would you like to add to the existing BGC ? It already doesn't work ) People parroting the lie about PLCAA preventing the gun manufacturers from being sued for the carnage their product causes. I listened to hundreds of people expressing their small minded drivel. Very, very few callers actually understood the root of the problem, and therefore the solution. Every one of them was then attacked by the next several callers for suggesting that the gun was in fact ☆NOT☆ the real problem.

I'm left to conclude that the consciousness of the population as a whole is so completely crippled that we, as a species, are doomed. Such a lack of understanding as well as a lack of logical ability and interest will be the death of us. The dumbing down of society is complete.

Well yeah. But I would say this has always been the case. It's just that now there are so many platforms for people to spew their nonsense and be heard, on subjects they have no clue about. It used to be that you had to actually be in the mix/know the subject matter to have any credibility. Now everyone and anyone knows what's best and can be heard by millions.
