^^^ me i live in a 1965 trailer and own it .. cant get it .. ..

can't get fire insurance for it either ..

What happens if you use your insurance, though? Will you be arrested for using your healthcare insurance? Will you be arrested in NYS for using your holstered, concealed “insurance plan” that JchrisIs mentioned? See the difference? It’s not the same. A handgun might be insurance, but it can’t be compared to car insurance or homeowner’s, or healthcare.

Should I pay your college loans too??? It is not "rhetoric". I carry all day every day. This is quite the comment coming on independence day weekend lol. You do whatever you need to buttercup. I'm going to continue to be an American and follow the constitution. I'm not rich. If something happens I will deal with it. That's life and that's how I live it. It is no law if it is not in line with the constitution. Full stop. Period.

This comment is exactly why we will never see another civil war or any uprising against confiscation when it happens. No one will give up their cushy life for their rights. This once great country is on its way down the other side unless this way of thinking changes real quick. It's all about me, me, me. People don't cherish what this nation is and that will be our downfall.

If you used it pre 9/1/22 in ny you were going to jail. You could shoot someone in your house at 2am and you were going to jail. I made peace with that before I began carrying.

Concealed is concealed while carrying. If you need to use it that is a different story. If you need it then you obviously don’t just leave it in your holster.
Yes this sucks for all of us and we shouldn’t be in this situation under any means but we are. I have re-evaluated what I will and won’t do because of the CCIA. In fact, I doubt I’d do much for a complete stranger these days if I could retreat because of this. It’s a hard decision and situation for all of us.

I know this has nothing to do with firearm laws. But it’s related. This article shows the attitude of another democratic AG who basically is defying a scotus ruling in another case. Essentially SCOTUS rulings will continue to be ignored and defied by other government officials who don’t like or agree with the majority. Further evidence that even when we win we lose. The system is broken and we cannot or should depend on the Supreme Court for judicial relief.

Protected class? Funny the constitution protects my right to my religion and my right to my guns yet they are ok with me having neither rights.
I don’t care what you do in the privacy of your own home but I can say I don’t want to make a product or a service to you for any reason. I have that right of refusal.

The implications are terrifying. They pick and choose the laws they want to enforce and make up and enforce ones that aren't. Government by tyranny.

If a private business, which is open to the public, can lawfully put up a sign that says “No guns allowed,” thereby depriving me of a Constitutionally protected right, then a private business can do pretty much anything else it wants, including forbidding free speech, barring religious attire, mandatory bag searches, refusal to bake a cake, or design a website.

I agree...they broke for the summer the end of JUNE, plenty of time to make ruling. It is for a stay on the crap, not even a "real" ruling.

They come back to sesson in Sept. I cannot find the details of their calendar, whether there is anything about the five lawsuits presented in March. Meanwhile the "law" marches on with people having to show their license for ammo and the specter of NY being the POC for background checks. And the reality of more people just acclimating and going back to sleep.

Red states need to adopt that strategy as well.

Imagine if Texas said "we're no longer going to prosecute murder if the victim is here illegally and they are within 10 miles of the border".

There are plenty of people who would read that as "open season, no bag limit". Illegal immigration through Texas would drop to zero overnight.

The left would also lose their shit, but whatever they did to counter it could also be used to enforce other SCOTUS rulings.

Yep, I remember a certain member on here who’s no longer here, gave us all shit because Bruen was a HUGE reckoning for the anti-gunners and the CCIA was going down in flames and we all doubted it. Well, here we are a year later and no end in sight to this shit and probably will never be with no recourse from the SC. Inferred we’re all pessimistic Debby downers and we don’t know our asses from our elbows. Nope, I’m just a realist and can see the writing on the wall when it’s right fucking in front of you. Can anyone honestly say they thought NY would just roll over be passive and take their licking? Yeah, didn’t think so

They are asking us for money and blaming us for this failure because we don’t vote apparently. Oh and give them more money so they can win our rights back but if you don’t vote then they can’t win your rights back. Either way we’re the cause of their failures in their eyes because we didn’t give enough or vote enough and I’m rather sick of this theme.
