The American way allows for a wide variety of cultural diversity on all manner of issues, there are only a few habits that you *must* leave at home.
Spicy food is not a problem.
But a devotion to individual liberty and
a respect for private property are non negotiable.
Every country wants productive, law abiding citizens.The two values you mentioned are indeed core elements of how this society aspires to operate.

Perhaps there is something to the psychological notion that people choose their user names based on their own character.
Of course, my commentary on that might also say something psychologically about the nature of any given forum, and the how's and why's used to justify allowing the obvious shit stirrers to troll forums for years with no good reason.
If you really had intent to know what the "American way" truly is, you might start by actually reading our Founding documents and the history of the run up to the American Revolution and the inking of the Declaration and the Constitution.
That would be a threefold boon if you applied yourself for awhile. You might get an actual education, the rest of us would get a break from your "too cute by half shtick," and you might actually remain somewhat on topic and have something to contribute here.

The United States was, in part, founded upon a terrible political deal that was abhorrent, and which enshrined the evil practice of slavery in our nation for nearly a century. That Three-fifths compromise continues to haunt our nation to this day. After the ratification and creation of the United States, the politicians of the time formed an unlawful agreement, a compact if you will, to admit new states in a crooked scheme wherein one state would come in as slave, and another state would come in as "free," exacerbating the moral crisis our nation had been struggling with decades after the Empire they broke away from had already repudiated slavery and took strong actions against the slave trade. Without the Three-fifths Compromise, I doubt the Colonies could have formed their coalition to break away from British rule, which would have been a damn shame, but there it is.
In point of fact, I know that not every person working for Independence from British rule was a hero; some of them were inveterate scoundrels even if they played an role in the founding of our country. For example, there were many who were in fact outlaws who flaunted British taxes and tariffs by engaging in large smuggling operations: in direct violation of the British laws they were under as colonists, and not necessarily because they were exemplary freedom fighters who longed for Liberty and Justice for All!
After the Civil War, our former political leaders stood by as segregation took hold in the South and roughly half of our nation embraced the Jim Crow era and the KKK was formed, with the "blue bellies" letting that situation go on for decades longer even though they had just fought a war in which the outcome was supposedly to free the slave and give them their Liberty, including the Right to vote and to run for office. There were in fact several black congressmen in the South until the "blue bellies" allowed the terror of the KKK and Jim Crow segregation to fester to the point that blacks in the South were denied many of their Constitutional Rights and those blacks in office were driven out office illegally.
The echoes of these terrible political decisions still reverberate terribly for many reasons, not least of which is political expedience, which brought the whole thing on in the first place; and which still stalks for its victims freely in our communities and the halls of power in Washington DC. Slavery and all of its antecedents are utterly vile and evil to me, and thus my enthusiasm must always be tempered with facts and Truth as far as I can reckon it.
Are those rose colored glasses? Perhaps only posterity and Eternity will answer that question in terms of my historical views on our nation, but I can claim with a straight face that though our nation be flawed, it did once have its own latent greatness even if that can never be fully or perfectly attained this side of Glory.
So yes, I do enjoy writing.
I just wish that much, much more of my writing did not revolve around the evils that plague mankind.
I also wish that more people would strive for a meeting of the minds rather than trolling and one-upsmanship; but I don't believe in unicorns or Rainbow Junction any longer either. YMMV.
