Because it was, essentially, the last possible "legal" means to restore the Rights that have been infringed.
With the SCOTUS inaction they have closed the door to any further peaceable means.
Once States like NY and CA start sending in their foot soldiers to forcibly disarm citizens we will most likely see the Founding Fathers last means of restoring Rights.

I think this has been their plan all along. They have engineered this stuff for years. I think in the next 10-20 years what you speak of will happen. They know a smaller and smaller percentage of people own guns these days or will admit it so they think this will be easy to accomplish. They won’t be the ones doing the heavy lifting anyway.
I think the negative campaign about gun, expanding cities, BLM protests, defunding the police and many more things were all about getting people to get away from wanting guns and getting their goons in as cops. These goons will follow their every order.
We just had some out of town family in for a funeral. These people are from the DC area and they came to my home. I have an old 1870’s(best guess) smooth bore cap and ball long gun hanging over my fireplace. That was the first thing they noticed and questioned me on asking me if it was real and if it would work. I said yes it’s real but as for if it will work I don’t know and it’s not safe to try it out. I said I don’t know the caliber and I don’t care to find out as it won’t be shot ever and It’s just a decoration. I could tell they were uncomfortable. The husband watched me like a hawk after that and I had my CCW on me so maybe he noticed that. He has two teenage girls that were interested in my pets so we walked around as a large group and showed them but he stayed right on me and I found it odd. I guess he doesn’t really know me and has met me once or twice in 15 years so maybe that’s why. It was odd honestly and I think the gun is why. I hope I convinced them to get more pets because he was against getting more as it will serve him right.

Reciprocity between the states is a myth.

Blue states are allowed to ban AW's, etc.

Court cases in the past, have allowed such nonsense. I give you the California auto emissions policy......49 state cars-- and Cal cars. and gun policies that apparently violate the 2nd amendment.

That means that the Red states can continue to allow MG's AW's suppressors, etc.......in accordance with Fed policy, BUT BLUE STATES CAN BAN THEM.......unless SCOTUS says no.

SCOTUS cases in the past, have allowed this disparity between one states laws, and another's that are in contradiction.

A universal concealed carry law will not pass either...........it is up to the individual to get permission from each state to carry concealed, as a non resident---- and NYS has the right so far, to deny people, the ability to buy a pistol with out a state permit, despite Bruen.

You can. But there might be very severe legal consequences for doing so. To exercise a right that is legal in the majority of other US states.

Sure you can open carry a non-neutered, suppressed SBR in NY State. Sure you "can" do that, you can go about your life and no give 2 hoots about it, but "should" you do that? You're basically inviting a prison anal raping, losing your career, house and rights as a felon.

Most people aren't willing to do that.



At this point, the most pragmatic thing to do is align yourself with a red free state that is reliable and dependable to support your rights. Take it up at the state level.

I think some of what you experienced is typical of people raised in an anti, or basically gun free environment. Compared to living back in New Yorkistan, down here in the Carolina’s the difference is widely seen. Down here people are chill when it comes to firearms.

I am reminded of a woman I met and dated for a bit. Initially, when the topic of firearms came up, she was somewhat incredulous that I was a gun owner. And the questions followed: You own guns? Yes. Rifles? Yes. Assault weapons? LOL, of course! Handguns? Yep! OMG, do you carry them? All the time, where it is legal to do so! Gasp, - like right now, as we are sitting here drinking coffee? You bet! You’ve been looking at it, and still haven’t seen it! And it hasn’t jumped up and shot anyone yet either!

Suffice it to say, that one didn’t go the distance…

I agree with you, i really do, but i have no intentions of jeopardizing my life or my wifes life for these fukking ass clowns running this state. I plan on waiting for my wife to retire here very shortly and then we are getting the fuck out of this shithole state for good. But until then, i couldn`t give a fukk what they do. All i can say is that karma will get these ass clowns eventually. You can not play kings and queens games with the people before they`ve had enough. History will repeat itself, it always does. They`re only going to be able to push people just so far, and then its ass whoopin time. Long after my wife an i are gone from this world due to old age, these tyrannical bastards will once again, someday, answer to the people they`ve been stomping on. No I didn’t offer him a tampon but that’s a good idea. I didn’t think of that. They live outside DC so probably never seen a gun before in their lives. Many of them are raging liberals but her dad works for the department of defense using math to kill our enemies so you’d think they’d be ok with guns on a wall. It has ram rod attached to it and the cap hammer is there so it’s pretty clear it’s old as hell. It was shipped straight to me years ago on gun broker so it’s pre-1900’s for sure. It just looks nice over my fireplace with my grandpas casket flag.
