Exactly, especially if your in a sub lol.Loose lips sink ships.
Yes,the city is horrible. You need a permit in NYC for shotguns and rifles?
I’m gonna buy it regardless but the question is not about the purchase part. Those in the city know what I mean. Now you do sound paranoid. Let me ask you a question, but I'll do it after I buy the gun??
New Yorkistan doesn't recognize the 2nd amendment. You need a permit in NYC for shotguns and rifles?
I lived in the city for 60 years and I have no idea what you mean, just ask the damn questionI’m gonna buy it regardless but the question is not about the purchase part. Those in the city know what I mean.

Ok since you have been here in the city 5 boroughs for so long. You know all long guns purchased must be registered. Has everyone one registered theirs? If not, will nyc still know if you purchased one?I lived in the city for 60 years and I have no idea what you mean, just ask the damn question
They won't know.Ok since you have been here in the city 5 boroughs for so long. You know all long guns purchased must be registered. Has everyone one registered theirs? If not, will nyc still know if you purchased one?
What I’m getting at is. A person buys a long gun, in the city and doesn’t send in regi form will 1pp know. There guys jeez, so much for secrecy lol.

There’s a good chance they will. The FFL in the city has to declare all sales and transfers to PD (or so I’m told). Be very very careful in the city. When I moved to Nassau and brought over my shotguns and rifles the city wanted a sworn affidavit to the move. Most guys would have told NYC to fug off since I work for the city, I couldn’t.
It isn't required for you to register it with the city as long as it never gets there. Suppose you have property upstate or in PA and want to keep it there for hunting or home protection? You could leave it at a friend's hunting cabin too. They're is no need to be paranoid. You aren't breaking any laws as long as it never makes it to the city.Ok since you have been here in the city 5 boroughs for so long. You know all long guns purchased must be registered. No not really. If they see you live in NYC they will not sell you a rifle without the NYC permit ( when I lived in the city it was a green paper one). I have a friend that lives in the city that has this problem all the time.If you buy a gun in city, they will only sell it yo you with a NYC permit. If you buy in long Island then all you need is a driver's license. I
It depends on the FFL. Some will, some won't. It isn't illegal but some don't for liability purposes. No not really. Definitely moving in the next 3-4 yrs.The best way to circumvent NYC laws, is to get out. DiBlassio has increased the rifle shotgun unit and pistol permit unit. What a hell hole.
That isn't true at all. Can you point to the pertinent language that says that in 18 USC 922(b)(2)?Just to dispel a common misconception, non-NYC FFLs can get in trouble for selling a gun to a NYC resident even though the FFL is located outside of the city.
All FFLs are by statute presumed to be on notice of all local laws when selling a firearm to a customer and cannot violate them in connection with a sale. In other words, if a NYC resident attempts to purchase a rifle or shotgun outside of the 5 boroughs, the local dealer is breaking Federal law -- in a serious way -- unless that FFL satisfies himself that the sale is compliant. Thus a responsible FFL will either not sell to a NYC resident without the permit, or, alternatively, require proof that the gun will not be taken into NYC such as a signed statement to that effect.
The law in question is 18 USC 922(b)(2) and is the reason ATF sends the "green book" of all local laws to FFLs.
