M&P Shield 2.0 in 9mm currently in a Black Arch AIWB holster.

Definitely looking to upgrade tp a holster with a sidecar. Tier1 Concealment Slim Axis would be ideal.

Dont go with the sidecar. Go with the tier1 concealment over any Trex arms holsters

I should’ve said mag carrier instead of sidecar. I just want a spare mag. I’m not a fan of 8+1 being my reserve. I’d rather (8+1)+8.

Is there a lot of hate on T.Rex holsters on these forums? If so, why?

I own 2 actual sidecars. They are well made, standard priced. But the owner is a complete douchebag and for the same prices you can have a better product from a better company.

Such as tier1 with their version that actually flexes where it needs to (unlike the sidecar) between the gun and magazine. Making for more comfort and easier to carry and wear

Fair enough. The flex was why I planned to go with Tier1 Concealment. I’m a slim guy, and appendix I’m not very broad so a standard AIWB with an attached mag carrier is a tight, uncomfortable fit.

Looks like a solid fit. I’m 5’8” at 179.4lbs. and the few non-flexing I’ve tried had high friction at my right hip and was unbearable. They weren’t my typical carry (Glock 43, and P229) but they pushed me away from AIWB for a long time.

My Black Arch is great for the $30 but I want a spare mag and I want it as a combo if possible. So when I saw Tier1 I figured it was the best place to put my money. Figure I’ll go with neutral colors so that if I need to sell it I won’t have too much of an issue.

Mainly because it’s what I have that is reliable, concealable is most conditions, what I could afford,and I am proficient with. Most of my money right now is going towards getting a decent first apartment for me and my fiancé. But I do hope to upgrade in the future.

Just been carrying my sig p320c. Only handgun I have. Can shoot it pretty accurately so it works.
Any recommendations on a subcompact though? Been eyeing the p365. But something about the .380 and a g42 feels right. Not sure what to do

At work it's a Glock 19 in a Galco Carbon fiber finish kydex on a Blade Tech UCB ratcheting belt, an extra mag in a Pitbull Tactical mag holder, Fenix PD22 light and a Kershaw Filter. But as of late I'm looking at the Sig P365 to possibly replace the G43.

Get rid of that floppy IWB holster and get a rigid kydex. The flexible holsters are dangerous.

No thanks. I've been using the Uncle Mikes/Blackhawk IWB's for years and they work for me. First they are comfortable. Second, when used properly, they are not dangerous. Put the gun in the holster, then place into the pants, clipping to the waistband and finish by wearing a belt over the top of the clip. NEVER try to reholster when in the waistband. If the gun is deployed from retention, remove the holster and repeat the sequence. NO exceptions. The dangerous part is when someone tries to reholster when in the pants. Just don't do it.

You're absolutely right about reholstering. Same goes for any IWB holster. Just that the flexible holsters would allow something to press up against the trigger where rigid kydex will not. Especially when they become worn.
