Well, since i dont have unrestricted carry i am always going to do some hiking or other sporting activity.. and when i am, i typically carry a glock 43 with 7+1, and bum with 8 rounds. In winter ill also carry the 19 with 2 of my reduced (10) capacity mags..
Ruger LC9 in a DeSantis SofTuck IWB holster. I'd like a S&W M&P Shield 9mm but this one was a good deal and gets the job done. Trying to decide if I'm going to do a trigger kit and some other upgrades to make it better or just sell it off and get the S&W.

Know anybody that would let you try their's? Do you not particularly like the Ruger or is all the Shield hype tempting you? Unless you dislike the the LC9 "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush".
Right now I have a kimber solo, but the triggers a bit heavy for my liking. Nice small gun and shoots jhp very well for such a small gun. I'm currently transitioning to a Springfield xd. I carry an extra mag no matter what gun and I carry a Kershaw knife and I'm looking for a flash light.
It varies a little for me but in very recent years I've mainly been carrying a SIG P938 (w/factory laser) more than anything else. I always carried a fairly a big heavy gun (Full size 1911 or CZ-SP01 or K-frame revolver) for so many years that it took me a while to get accustomed to the idea of carrying a small gun. I'm very happy with it now though. It's small and light enough to actually be pretty comfortable, but also has very good sights for a small gun and it's very accurate and has been perfectly reliable thus far.
