Just picked up my cool Rough Rider!!

I'm kind of really diggin' the revolvers lately. I also have found that every time I go to my range, I take a 22lr, or two along as well.
Sooooo, I had my LGS order this in to complement my Uberti 45lc, and Ruger SBH 44mag., that I've acquired recently.

Just do it. For the price you can't beat it. They are lots of fun with some actual utility included.

I love single action army types. Grew up with an Uberti in 45lc. Used to love shooting it.

Thanks! There's just something about a SA revolver that is so nostalgic. I just love how it slows me down on the range. It gives me a chance to enjoy a cigar while I'm there.

Bump! Brought the boys out for cleaning. I also changed out the Wolff hammer/trigger spring on the Cattleman. I waited 11 weeks for the Wolff spring set and man did it smooth out the hammer pull beautifully. Unfortunately it messed with the timing because I was experiencing poor cylinder lock up and peening. I also had a couple of firing pin strikes on the rim of the brass instead of the primer. Never happened with the standard flat trigger spring. It is a noticible difference with the stock spring. definitely more resistance when pulling the hammer back, but I'm okay with that. I don't want to blow my hand off for a smoother hammer pull. @MoMan have you shot it yet?

No sir! Been too wet down here this week. I think I should be able to get to my range this coming week. I'm really looking forward to it. Like I said, I love shooting the SA's. They're just plain fun!!

Once I get a chance to shoot it, I'll let Folks know my thoughts.
