I'm not sure how long this insanity will last, but I think the odds of a "second wave" in October/November are much higher for this than covid.None of that has been confirmed yet.
Mass retirements are a given. Every single person I know who is nearing or at retirement time is leaving.
March 30 is my date.
Desperation is a stinky cologne.I'm not sure how long this insanity will last, but I think the odds of a "second wave" in October/November are much higher for this than covid.
I would like to see every cop in the country go home for 24 hours. Then let’s have a conversation about their value. I already know it. I can’t belive the shit I’m reading recently about defunding them etc
If you managed to keep them from burning anything down and the closed stores still have all their inventory, then you earned your paycheck.I led a black lives matter march today. Seriously. Definitely never saw that happening.
George Floyd is no martyr to anyone. I do not think there is any educated person out there who thinks that he was a saint.

The argument isn’t that a good person was killed needlessly. The argument is that a person was killed needlessly and it happens often.
Please stop injecting rhetoric into something that isn’t there.
Yeah. And some claim that Saddam is a martyr. Doesn’t make him so and the few that do think that aren’t many or the majority. I can build a shrine or statue about that Muslim cop that killed that woman being a hero and that doesn’t mean that he is or the majority agree with my ridiculous opinion.Wrong, many different types of people have place him into martyrdom status. Did you get a chance to see any of his joke of a memorial service?
Yeah, he is a martyr to some of those people. This type of killing in not an often happening event. Actually, this kind of killing is very rare.
10X the amount of people killed by police are killed by errors made by doctors.
Me, for all of those people that he wronged in his life, I am glad he is dead. The dead can no longer hurt others.

As far as being indifferent or glad that he died because of who he is, that’s all fine and well as long as you do not support the police going around killing those who THEY think shouldn’t live. That’s not what the Founders intended and you know that.
Imagine if Red Coats killed someone who was a loser and George Washington welcomed them to continue killing losers who were vermin (your favorite word) to society. Where would we be now?
Of course sometimes killing is warranted. To stop a rape, mugging, ect. But this way? No.The problem really is, they are putting this scum bag on a pedestal. He is really something to some of these people. If you get a chance, watch some the BS memorial service for this asshole. Listen to the comments afterwards. It is scary to hear. They really believe the shit they are spewing.
This cop did not kill him because he personally thought he should die, he killed him to keep his false ego in check.
I do not want to see cops killing just to kill, but I know for a fact that there are many times that these mutts need to be put down due to their actions.
Congratulations!Spent the last hour with my boss outlining my retirement plans. Since I fill a fairly important role in the precinct I wanted to work out a plan that is best for all of us, allowing me to run off all my built up time (nearly 100 days) and still train my replacement adequately. I'm going to start taking every Friday off once the 12 hours tours end, then after the summer start taking two days off every week. What ever is left I will burn on the end (probably all of March). My last day will be March 31.
The writing is on the wall, time to go. Not worth it anymore to risk my safety, freedom and livelihood in this environment.
Congratulations!
And yes, I am jealous!
Sounds divine. Will you take a second job later or chill for foreseeable future?Spent the last hour with my boss outlining my retirement plans. Good on you. Now get the hell out of the boroughs and join New York State. Or better yet, move to America somewhere nice.Spent the last hour with my boss outlining my retirement plans. As awesome as it sounds (and hopefully will be), I wanted to do about 8 more years. Can't see that happening now and the wife is DONE with NYC so it's time to go.
