Yeah, he is a martyr to some of those people. This type of killing in not an often happening event. Actually, this kind of killing is very rare.
10X the amount of people killed by police are killed by errors made by doctors.

As far as being indifferent or glad that he died because of who he is, that’s all fine and well as long as you do not support the police going around killing those who THEY think shouldn’t live. That’s not what the Founders intended and you know that.

This answers the question of whether somebody driving a car with a pistol can defend against a crowd. In this case the answer is yes. I don't know what led up to this, but when he started accelerating toward the group he already had 1-2 people on/trying to get into his vehicle.

Spent the last hour with my boss outlining my retirement plans. Since I fill a fairly important role in the precinct I wanted to work out a plan that is best for all of us, allowing me to run off all my built up time (nearly 100 days) and still train my replacement adequately. I'm going to start taking every Friday off once the 12 hours tours end, then after the summer start taking two days off every week. What ever is left I will burn on the end (probably all of March). My last day will be March 31.
The writing is on the wall, time to go. Not worth it anymore to risk my safety, freedom and livelihood in this environment.

My God daughters father did his 20 in NYPD then retired up state and is a Village/Town Cop.

Probably NJ at first then PA eventually. I’m divorced so I need to stay close to the kids for a bit longer.
