So immobilize a cop and steal his gun and shoot him and others with it? Just allow that to happen? Have you been hitting the pipe? What all of you lawless radicals fail to realize is these people all bring it on and escalate it themselves. Wake up!
Use of Force Policy Acknowledgement Statement O.C.G.A. 17-4-20 states that
Sheriffs and peace officers who are appointed or employed in conformity with Chapter 8 of Title 35 may use deadly force to apprehend a suspected felon only when the officer reasonably believes that the suspect possesses a deadly weapon or any object, device, or instrument which, when used offensively against a person, is likely to or actually does result in serious bodily injury; when the officer reasonably believes that the suspect poses an immediate threat of physical violence to the officer or others; or when there is probable cause to believe that the suspect has committed a crime involving the infliction or threatened infliction of serious physical harm.

Yes, I agree but the circumstances of me walking down the street encountering somebody trying to taze me, the scenario under discussion now are different.
In a sense... The threat was still there.
And, as I have posted, The officers were WELL within the law to use the force that was used.
Maybe this is an issue of law, not the actions of the Police.
No, do nothing, when manners don't work, then when you're incapacitated and your firearm has been taken away from you, just say a prayer. These people are in an alternate universe. You CANNOT under any circumstances let someone gain control of your weapon. Deadly force is acceptable whether you're a cop or not. It is putting you, and others, in a position where you are in reasonable risk of having deadly force used against you. A jury would surely agree that you were justified in having that "reasonable belief", if you were even charged to begin with.
Levels of force are a tough thing to explain. There is never a right answer or a wrong one.

Explain why someone would peacefully comply if they are convinced that they aren't going to get a fair hearing ?
I have been saying for years that the police have a massive PR problem, and some here have basically taken the attitude that they don't care, it doesn't matter, and they're just going to enforce the law.
The police *cannot* do their job without the trust and respect of the vast majority of the country.
Due mostly to the narrative that the mainstream media have pushed, and the refusal of the police to do anything about it, we've got the mess we're in now. It's only going to get worse.

Cops do have a big PR problem that is blatantly obvious but is it really of their making? The media almost always jumps on them, the internet is full of edited videos or partial videos that go viral. Just look at all the cancelled cop shows by the pussy corporate lemmings. Can you really blame them if some get a fuck it attitude?
I interact with PD almost every day and see by example that the bullshit narrative being pushed at the moment isn’t reality. Cops do more then enforce laws most never see that side.
I'm not following your logic. If someone doesn't peacefully comply they won't make it to any hearing because they will be dead. If I understand things correctly the current issue has little to do with the outcomes of hearings. Instead, it is about the perceived summary executions at the time of arrest. A person can't get a fair or unfair hearing if they aren't alive for it in the first place.

The PR thing is not their creation, but it certainly is their problem, If they'd dealt with it a couple years ago we might not be in the mess we're in now.
As it is, it may be too late.
As for the weapon thing, it all depends on how much cool aid he drank.

Why should anyone expect they are facing a death sentence for a DWI?
Philando Castile's death offers crystal clear evidence that complying may be a deadly mistake. John Crawford III did not even get the chance to comply. The matter of fair hearings and the broader "justice system" is the other half of this very longstanding (i.e. hardly just a "current") issue.

The cops should have spent a lot more money on PR firms, and a lot more time working on their image.
All the good guys who take the time to help the poor kid fix his bicycle does no good if the only people who hear about are the ones that are already in the cops corner.
"we can't comment on an active investigation" is just PR suicide. It doesn't matter what information comes out 6 months later, all the public ever hears is what's in the news that week.
You may not like it, and it certainly isn't fair, bit it is reality, and while you can ignore reality, you can't ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.
