Question for you:
How many boxes of that ammo do you think Lucky Gunner would have on hand if they priced it at $44?

They have terrible customer support anyways.
Ok, that sidesteps the question though.
The reality is if they priced at big box prices they would get snapped up by a few if not one person, they would have no stock, you'd have the same amount of ammo from them and that ammo in all likelihood would be resold for a profit.
No amount of kicking and screaming changes the laws of supply and demand.
I know you will just say no for argument sake but dont you think $200 over value is a bit much?

Thats almost $2 a round......for cheap ass target ammo.
People keep bitching about not having ammo so I tell them about LG......nobody ive told has bought any......they rather not shoot.

Nope, our local Runnings has a 2 box limit. Everyone gets a little.
Its not perfect but just trying to get through.
I dont really care, ive got many thousands of rounds of 9mm, 10mm 38sp, 357 magnum, 22LR, 22 Mag, 308, 7.62x54r.....and lots of shotgun shells of all sizes.
I just gave a friend 500 rounds of 9mm for his birthday.

Do I think $200 is a bit much? Yes. And you know who else does? The market apparently. Hence the stock. Prices will fall until demand picks up again. It's almost magical.
"Box limits" are what they put in place when they under price to satisfy the whiners and they work great until they don't. And they don't as soon as one guy has his family come in.

Box limits reward the guy who has a lot of time on his hands (to run all over town buying 2 boxes at every store) at the expense of everyone else.
Supply and demand rewards the guy who values the product higher than everyone else.
All you guys who complain about the product being priced over its value appear to misunderstand what "value" means.
If someone is buying it at that price, then to them its value is *at least* that much.
And if you've got a few boxes laying around and you're not selling them for that much, then *to you* the value is at least that much.
People are getting $75/brick for cheap .22lr right now. They are getting that from people for whom the value of a brick of .22 is *more* than $75.
For me, I've got a bunch of .22, but I'm not selling it, so the value of the .22, plus the cost of selling it, *is* more than $75.
If it was going for $1000 a brick I'd be selling.
So, somewhere in between is what *I* value it at.

While I agree with you and that has happened with target sport USA vs other higher priced companies.
I fully agree with and support criticalt o will not buy from outdoor limited or ammo suply warehouse for the same reasons. However if you look TSUSA likely has no ammo and the others mentioned do.

Like I said, and im not repeating it 1000 times to you like usual....... I 100% understand supply and demand and the free market.
Again like I said, this decision with LG is just my opinion on their selling tactics.
Im NOT saying its illegal, Im NOT saying its not their choice......im just saying that marking ammo up 20x what others are selling it for is ludicrous.

Marking up a $44 product to $240 is ridiculous and they will lose my business for ever.
Like I said above, box limits arent perfect but its working here in our small community. Now THATS business sense. Ever time I go in Runnings they have ammo.....9mm, 223, 556, 762x39, 22LR.......and they have the same shipment for days.
Everyone has their own strategy but a 20x markup doesn't work and it loses customers.

Thats very bad business.

20x markup is bad business and people will remember.
Just look at how much ammo LG has for sale.....and its not moving.
I was wrong.....the $44 box of ammo is $255....and the numbers havent moved in 3 days.

So, if nobody is paying that much, then they aren't really selling anything (and they aren't hurting anyone either)
Reminds me of a relative of mine, wife told him he had to sell his corvette. So he advertised it with a ridiculous price and would just keep saying "nobody's interested".
It's like the guys who go to a gun show and don't really want to part with anything, they just want people to look at their collection.

Folks we cheer when we see record gun sales month by month... By the same token we complain when the same people are looking for ammo ... Any ammo. at any price. This is what the situation in Biden land... People are scared .. We could in the near future be looking at a law that severely limits the amount of ammo one can purchase per month. .. I can see this ammo shortage continuing far into the future. There are folks that will pay that high price. .. Brother-in law knows several folks that just purchased their first gun... These folks make several hundreds of thousands of Dollars per year...They will buy ammo at any cost.... No problem...

If it was lowered, you'd see how fast those "anti LG" people were no longer that.

Thats exactly what ive been saying this whole time.....their asking price is over what the market is willing to pay.....so FAR over it makes them assholes IMO.
You can think differently, thats fine.....Ive used them several times and thus is just the last straw....as ive already said.....their customer support sucks.
And to tell the truth, their regular prices were not great.
I never said a word about price gouging....not one word.
I know as much about supply and demand and free market as anyone.
I make a product that costs me $10-$30 to make and sell it for $400-$800.
Others who do what I do sell their product for $3,000-$8,000......for something they pay $10 for. My business is ALL about supply and demand. I cant keep my pruduct on the shelf. Ive got orders for products I wont have for 6 months.

All ive said is that in my opinion selling a $40 box of ammo for $255 is a total dick move and I will remember it, thats all ive said in this thread.
