You may also want to look at the Ruger LCR. And yes you're going to want to pair it with a decent holster for pocket carry.

Don't be discouraged by all these naysayers. NY is very pro 2A, conservative values, low taxes and fantastic weather. But then again this is the internet and I may be less than accurate ;)

There are many clubs around NY for action pistol. Go to USPSA and you should be able to locate a club near you. This website will also list the various divisions available and the equipment requirements for each.

That's a great price. Picked one up about 5 yrs ago and they are super durable.
