For my SKS, I keep my right hand on the grip and reach over with my left, using the meat of my palm to draw it back and release. For my Ruger PCC, I just switch the charging handle to the left side so I can keep my trigger hand in place.

Also, for what it’s worth, I live in Nassau so it’d be an easy scoop, Im just having trouble figuring out exactly what you have. It’s probably me…long week/weekend.

Are the PPU full metal jacket? I’m having a bit of a hard time reading your post, but I am looking for Garand food.

Bump, plus a pic. Super psyched with it…looks like a ‘53’ish receiver and bolt (according to people smarter than I), with a ‘51 barrel and USGI stock. Still no food for it, though!

Ahh, that’s a bummer! You got it directly from CMP? I haven’t yet taken delivery of it, but I’ll let you know when I do. Looks like the serial number that CMP gave me in my order puts it in 1956 H&R production.
