Finally found a good condition M1 Carbine, at a reasonable price. Came with 2 mags to boot.
Picked it up yesterday, hoping to hit the range with it tomorrow, rounds were reasonably priced for the times btw whats normal prices for a box of .30 50 rd box I paid 35.
Thats what I was trying to get at with him, but I wasn't going to argue with someone to shell out 1200 bucks plus smithing fees. I was just curious if that lug was the only thing stopping him from selling it... as it could be easily removed from what I can see... oh well not like he had the...
I know its the wrong section but figured I'd ask here anyway... ive been looking for a 30 Carbine, for ever... i walk into my LGS and low and behold there's an authentic 30 Car on the rack... price was right too... I inquire, and he said law enforcement only... I asked why? He said because it...
Thanks everyone for the great advice and tips... I really appreciate it. Hopefully he will have the same love of shooting and the outdoors as me. And this is something we can do together for many years to come...
I know I'm probably way ahead of myself here, but with my first child on its way, I was wondering when it would be a good time to begin teaching him about shooting, defense and safety.
My wife isn't opposed to him learning early, as we keep several guns in the house for defense, as well as a...
Sorry if this post is redundant and is somewhere else. Just curious what everyone's thoughts are on when ammo will be readily available again... or at least at levels in which retailers can't price gouge us to death... only asking because a friend of a friend of mine is considering "gifting" me...
Wouldn't sweeping gun reform need to pass both the house and senate? Please be yes...lol... I can't bear to think about having to bury my guns in the yard or buy a boat so they can be lost in an unfortunate boating accident.
I could be wrong, but I thought Governors outline there legislative agenda, and propose these to the legislators via state proposals (executive). In a sense trying to create laws that fit their agenda. Similar to a President offering bills to the house and senate. Of course it would need to pass...
Been debating with my brother recently about NY Gun Laws in general. He is a Democrat, and quite liberal. But is a gun owner himself. He recently bought an AR during lock down... be it a neutered fixed mag version, thats completely impractical for defense, took a gun smith 10 minutes to un-jam a...
Went to a small lgs in my town, basically its a 10×10 room. Hes been unable to stock anything in quantity to keep up with demand... I foolishly thinking my 2k rounds for each rifle was plenty before the spike... A few trips to the range and club and here I am down to a few hundred of each...
One of my favorites. I love take downs or compacting guns for bug out purposes. However I learned it doesn't like the blue box Federal ammo... cci mini mags run great though it.
