I purchased this rifle and it has not been fired. The only change from the box is the choate stock.
I paid 550 + 300 for the stock. Asking 600.
Choate Stock
Big game centerfire rifle and Nikon® scope combo
Trouble-free bolt action
Carbon steel, button-rifled barrel with matte blued finish...
After all of your help...and the wonderful response...and my purchase....I have to sell the rifle. I have 2 major surgeries that I need to have and had NO clue something was wrong.
At least I haven't shot it yet.
Thanks all for your help!
Thanks. I chose the 111 trophy over the vt simply due to weight. I know a heavy barrel is preferred by some, but a long barrel and heavy isn't a good thing for me. Had 2 shoulder surgeries on right shoulder due to my time in the Corps. I'm looking to join Camillus this week and try her out...
Thanks. I'll talk to the local guy and see what I can do....for $350sih, cant go wrong with that XP deal.
Did you get it somewhere local/big box and do you mind if I ask the cost?
Thank you!
I already have a scope I can use (Bushnell 4x12x40) which is on my 10/22 right now. I am looking to shoot some targets and possible varmint on private land somewhere. I'd love an XP @299! I have $70 in gift cards @ Dicks..so thats a big factor too....
Thanks for the thread link..good stuff
I am considering a new rifle as I currently own a custom made 10/22 only. I am looking at these due to price points...I know that accuracy is from the shooter (I'm a former Marine Corps Marksmanship Instructor). I am more interested in how smooth the bolt action is etc...
I dont hunt, however...
I looked in 5 different places and saw it was threaded....Im happy to be wrong!
So the challenge of obtaining this pistol is the magazines it ships with, correct?
Does anyone know if this is a legal pistol in NY? It is normally sold with 12rd mag and has threaded barrel. If purchased (somehow) with a 10round, would that work?
Could an FFL remove the 12s and give me 10s?
Thanks all!
