Sword guys, looking for some help.

If there are any valuable original swords, contact Christie’s and also Sotheby’s in Manhattan for a evaluation. They wouldn’t be interested in high end replicas. They publicize their auctions online and with printed brochures. They have an international audience and during the auctions there...

    Help with first pistol

Here’s three of my pistols, top to bottom are Ruger SR22, Ruger SR 40C, Sig 1911-22 As IloveNY mentioned above, the SR22 is great fun to shoot. Same can be said for the full size Sig 1911-22. They are also inexpensive to purchase (around $300 new) and .22lr ammo is cheap and plentiful. The...

    Fiber optics

I recommend TFO sights cause they combine tritium and fiber optics. This way the sights are very visible in daylight and nighttime. I had a gunsmith install them on my Ruger SR40C . I also have a Sig P938 Equinox with Sig nightlites and a tfo front sight (only a couple of the 938s have the...

    Details from CMP, 1911

Prices for these army surplus 1911s are ridiculous. One could buy a very nice, brand new, better shooting, better made 1911 for those prices

Today, I handled a Ruger PC carbine in Collector’s on Rt 82 in Hopewell Junction NY, Dutchess County Ticket price was $499.95 I’m waiting for this carbine to come out in .40 S&W (I’m sure it will eventually). I already have 5 SR mags for it. Felt nice and takedown was very easy and secure

Single Stack Only - 9mm CCW pistols

I have the Sig P938 Equinox and carry it easily in my pocket in a De Santis superfly holster. I changed the original grips to the black Hogue wraparound rubber grip. I feel I get a better grip with Hogue grip and shoot good groups

Shipping a gun back for repair

Livingston gave a good list of what’s needed. The only thing I would add is don’t leave any third party upgrades in your pistol when you send it back, only original Ruger parts. Ruger will automatically replace non-Ruger parts with factory parts and you won’t get those third party upgrades back

    Ruger Carbine Takedown !

I’ve been telling Ruger to re-issue the PC carbine for a few years. Now they finally have and it’s a takedown model which is convenient. Another nice feature is that it accepts SR mags and has an adapter for Glock mags. Currently, it’s just in 9mm but I imagine .40 S&W will follow soon

    1911 22lr Conversion

I have the Sig 1911-22 and it’s great. Had it for 3 years, lots of rounds down range, no problems with any ammo. Same manual of arms, size and weight. I would leave 1911 45 as is and use the 1911-22 as an inexpensive training gun

    micro 9

I have the Sig P938 Equinox and love it. Very easy to conceal, pocket carry, beautiful fit and finish, expensive compared to polymer pocket pistols. Has many different color combinations to choose from. I’ve never shot a Kimber micro 9.

Has anybody ever mailed their gun?

When I shipped a pistol, I took it to a Fedex regional facility and picked it up from there when work was completed. Both UPS and Fedex have had trouble finding my home with regular packages. They’ve left my packages at other peoples houses and then I have to try and find it. Don’t want their...

    Pocket carry? Pocket pistol?

I looked at a variety of pocket pistols and there’s some really good ones out there. After much research, I bought a Sig P938 Equinox which is very easy to pocket carry and is 9mm. Price is high but so is the quality of the fit and finish. I could have bought 2 other pistols for $680 but when...
