MoMan I can certainly appreciate your sentiment. I held a similar one myself prior to moving. But for me, its the right thing. I could go on and on about why GA sucks, but your perspective may vary. Both my wife and myself have family and friends back in NY. Our interests are there as well...

I guess holy grail is different for everyone ... I've always like the Wilson Combat line or a nice Ed Brown...my 2 cents.

I never minded the snow...always loved being outdoors, probably what I miss the most. From MAy until now, its so hot and humid, hard to enjoy the outdoors. Some top notch indoor ranges here though

If I were to do it over...I'd look hard at western NC or VA...

1. 3+ hours a day in traffic 2. Its too damn hot 3. Generally speaking, with the exception of BBQ, I hate the food...and no good pizza 4. Love the seasons and the ADK's...plus family & friends back home (as you know spring and fall are almost non existent...but summer is long) 5. Crime everywhere

lol...I always tell my friends..you cant appreciate NY until you leave, at least thats where my head is at. Someone else may be different.
