I think the top one is a Remington 760

I'll have to think a bit more on the others, but immediately I can say the .22lr mag on the left in pic #3 is almost certainly for a Stevens/Savage Mod. 34/35
Edit: Oops, I said 'on the right' initially. I meant the one on the left
So did I (I was due in something like just under 4 months anyway), but I can't say I'm not worried about it being deemed an issue/invalid after the fact due to either not having their training requirement or some other bullshit (change to 3 year cert...who knows.. whatever). I'm very undecided...
The problem there is that it may be too late. If this goes into effect as dated, as in today, as it appears to, then re-certifying right now could be re-certifying without the prerequisite training requirement and end in a denial.
I could be very much mistaken, as I've barely had time to make sense of it, but the way I read it was that current permit holders would all have to take whatever the training before being able to recertify.
That though, if true, is incredibly insidious beyond anything I've seen mentioned here...
The numbers are not published and entirely subject to change at any time. It doesn't actually mean anything in any case.
If someone put any value in post count (and they shouldn't), the actual post count of every member is shown right there in the same place with every post, so the 'caliber'...
Staggering in semi-auto pistol mags is not a good idea. Different types of ammo (bullet shapes, overall lengths.. particularly with case taper, as with 9mm, weights) stacked with each other could potentially lead to feed issues. Adding more possibilities for failures.. well, that's not good...
We've very seriously considered Guinea fowl numerous times. I especially kind of fear ticks because I've had serious and severely life-altering nerve and neuromuscular damage done by long term Lyme disease.
Never got on it here, but many years ago, half my life really, I rented an apartment in...
Do you have a preference between leather or kydex ? OWB or IWB ?
I'm a mostly leather guy, and primarily an OWB carrier, so my suggestions would likely be from leather holster makers I like, and models I know, that I found carried support for that model. Many other members of course have no...
I was curious. Apparently it's this. It's certainly in horrible taste, and it's not funny at all (in my opinion) , but I'm not sure it's something to be making quite as big a deal over as they are. I was expecting something super racist, or at least something along those lines.
What we can say...
The HCC subforum has been a bit dead for a while (not a lot of views on these anymore..like almost none, so if no one's using it then it's not worth posting really), but due to scarcity of ammo I thought this one should be up. This is one I can't be sure they'll honor though. As always, I read...
This is about the calibers you see under usernames based on the user's number of posts. I'd like to add a few in to break it up a bit more.
There is certainly some that could go in between, and I could just plop some in, but I figure maybe some user suggestions are more fun. So, throw me some...
I've seen 'em, yeah. I've thought about it, and wouldn't even feel bad about cutting one, because you're not really losing any silver anyway. That could be great, but they don't make any (that I know of) that have a realistic headstamp. The 45 auto headstamp is kind of a big part of the point...
First thing, kinda funny, you know those guys running scams that PM users ( whole thread about it here: NYGF - Possible scammers in PMs: Very low risk alert, but be aware and let us know. )
One of those rare guys that got through forum sign up (several a day do not) sent one to me for this...
If you notify a staff member about this kind of thing, we'll usually make it a sticky (at least for a while) so that it doesn't get lost and people to whom it may apply are more likely to see it. Since I happened to see it while it was new, I've done so here. Let us know to do stuff like that...
A strange request perhaps, but here it is.
As the title says, I'd like just one or a few (a few would be nice, for screwup insurance) peices of, preferably unfired, 45acp cases; specifically Nickel plated (that's important).
I'm not a reloader; wish I was, but I'm not. I'm also not asking for...
Funny thing, I had some guy from NYC inquiring about it by email from the craigslist ad. First he asked me how far I was outside NYC. On craigslist it's already shown on the map in the ad right down to my very local streets. I told him it was at least 2 hours drive minimum from the edge of NYC...
Ah ! Conveniently, since I kept the manual strapped to it all these years, I can actually answer that because it says it on there. Actually though, I also found a PDF file with additional assembly info and such that says the same thing.
Though it's put slightly differently on each, both...
I have this listed elsewhere for $70, which I think is pretty reasonable, but I could do a little better for a NYGF member.
With this you can hang upside-down ! It's good for you ! You can be Batman ! (ok ok.. this is pushing it).
It's a pretty ok inversion tab I'm not certain but I think...
@Darth is one of our resident Walther super-fans. Since you're new to the forum, and may not know this, now that I've 'tagged' him he will be alerted he'd been mentioned here and will likely view this thread. I'm sure there are other folks here who can do the same, but I'm also sure he can give...
Or is it that Walther simply doesn't package a 10 round version at all ? I'm not familiar enough with the gun to know, but that is the case with some guns.
I feel like you're either confused about some things, or perhaps just the way you wrote it out here it is confusing to me. I would not be surprised if your LGS gave you bad info or gave it to you in a confusing manner.. plenty of stories like that around here.
When you say, "getting the...

Some companies might be against sending even these parts to NY these days, but I see nothing in the rules saying they won't. So, it fits in the HCC.

Well..unless it's mutually agreed upon and fully consented to by all involved parties.. then it's pretty ok.
Otherwise..I mean, probablly best just don't be choking anybody, regardless of profession.
I think it would be funny to take the old 'Ring of Fire' 'Saturday night special' manufacturers and try to make it look cool with some kind of ring of fire logo around Jennings FIrearms, Jimenez Arms and Bryco Arms.
Well, as I'm always a man of my word, I suppose I should get to this. I am however kind of annoyed and rather divided in doing so because the OP's post is kind of problematic ...eh, I guess I'll just get to that. This is probably going to be a long post, and likely a huge waste of time, buuuut...
Sad, but at least he wasn't there; that's something I guess. I suppose that all signs point to the mother/wife burying two sons instead of one if he had been there.
I imagine it's an.. interesting (not sure that's really the right word here) thing to you, knowing people that may have known him...
