Shitty time for me to throw this advice out there, but try a bunch of different types to see how they pattern from damn near muzzle distance to the longest distance you have in the house or where you think you may need it. I found a huge difference in different types of ammo. What works for me...

Correct. It’s soft armor, and rated to a 44 mag. I’m pretty sure it does allow for adding additional rifle rated plates to bring it up to lvl 4.
