There are a lot of places in the Adks where DEC trails crisscross private lands. People wander off. There are indeed illegal grow sites in some areas. This story could be true, it could also be a “campfire tale” that is rooted in mythology and lore. ;)

That’s easy- the answer is “any PA shop that has the ammo you want that had a fair price.” Same goes for other states that don’t require a FOID or similar card to purchase ammunition.

There’s a tax stamp on cigarettes. There’s no such stamp on or for ammunition. Try again. I’ll wait. *this post is directed at any civil authority that claims unlawful activity has taken place by purchasing and transporting ammo for personal use from outside of NYS.

How do you think that would end for the homeowner in NYS? I’m 60-40 that the homeowner would not be charged if their firearm(s) were lawfully possessed. It would still take months, lawyer(s) and money to be cleared of any wrongdoing, though.

Learn the laws, operate within them to avoid being detained, arrested or prosecuted. Doing something that is legal should not cause fear or anxiety. Perhaps a little reflection on the chance that this could be blocked in the future, sure, but outright fear of being surveilled or stopped upon...

Yup. And we must give ALL of that info to the NYSP. It’s not hard to imagine from there that they know who has a pistol permit when they pull up an individual’s bona fides during a traffic stop. ;)
