Dexter was sentenced to TEN YEARS in prison for his egregious offense of home gunsmithing. From the press release: " District Attorney Gonzalez said, “Ghost guns are a threat to New Yorkers everywhere, and my Office is working tirelessly with our partners in law enforcement to stop their...
I heard it was the ATF pulling records from 80%er companies that ratted him out to the NYSP. Don't remember where I heard that, so take it with a pinch of salt.
I first heard the line from this twXtter post:" "an interview between Breanna Morello and Dexter's lawyer Vinoo Varghese. I don't think the trial was broadcast or anything, so I don't know what's in the record. Might be worth reaching out to Mr. Varghese about the quote.
On the matter of Dexter’s 2nd Amendment challenge, the Honorable Judge Abena Darkeh had this to say:
‘Do not bring the Second Amendment into this courtroom. It doesn’t exist here. So you can’t argue Second Amendment. This is New York.'

Hey all, this is Dexter’s neighbor. Dex was found guilty on all charges except 2 that were not voted on. His sentencing is slated for May 13th and will wait in Rikers until then. Please send all of your support his way - he needs it now more than ever...
I missed this one back in April of '22, but it looks like Dexter Taylor's trial is wrapping up and the jury is deliberating. Here is the original story: Bushwick Man Indicted for Illegal Possession of Ghost Guns – The Brooklyn District Attorney's Office
It seems crazy to me that the judge...
Hi all,
I am curious as to the fate of FFLs in this wonderful state, especially as 2024 is fast approaching. The FFL I've been to a bunch has expressed to me that he plans to close up shop around 1/31/24, due in large part to the new requirements of Article 39. And who can blame him? He is...
While this is bad news, I am encouraged that SCOTUS is paying close attention to how the circuit courts are applying Bruen. Look at the full order: Alito says:
"In parallel cases presenting related issues, the Second Circuit has likewise issued unreasoned summary stay orders, but in those...
Haven't held a G48, but it sounds awesome! Unfortunately, the slim profile makes use of G17/19 mags impossible. If SHTF, being able to source magazines will be much easier with the 'standard glock' mag profile. A ton of PCCs take 'Glock mags', but not G48 mags.
Does that make the G48 a bad...
Mine is a super exciting answer: Glock 19.
Why? Because it's a Glock 19. Most popular caliber with most available ammo? Check. Magazine compatibility with hundreds of other firearms, not to mention 80% of LEOs and countless other people nationwide? Check.
What if my holster breaks from hard...
Hello all!
I’ve had my eye on a VZ58 for a while, and was thrilled to find that Czechpoint offers a Liberty model with a fixed mag. My LGS, however, balked at the wording of “not readily detachable magazine” and thinks the gun is not compliant. I don’t think they checked the method of...
First post on the forum! Hello everyone. My entry is from back when I used to be a police officer. Needless to say, the dept made it clear that I couldn't keep this particular modification
