So I was just walking around herb phillipsons in Liverpool and I see a magazine that looks like a thirty rounder for an ar, m4, etc. I assume there is a stopper? I mean why would they make those when people can easily take them out?
Ok thanks, that is a lot more helpfulThe 10/30's have a protrusion in the floor plate that blocks the 30 body to 10 rounds only. If you want to go nuts you can epoxy it in place so it is super permanent.
They are better for matches and combat as they are easier to manipulate than the short 10 round mags.
I don't get it either. I use 10 rounders a lot at the range and have no trouble with them even though I'm a total fumble fingers. I like 20 rounders best I think. That's like silicone boobs on a blonde democrat. Looks good but still dumb.
Good point, but what about an adapter that mounts two 10 rounders back to back? That would fill a 30 round mag pouch I should think.Nobody makes a 10 rd mag pouch. Everything is designed around the standard capacity size.
Storing them in a box is fine for range use, but what do you do when a chest rig or battle belt is needed.
The witch got defeated and we may be safe for now....for now.
Also a good point. I guess there are some valid reasons for these 10/30 mags after all.A lot of people like to train with 10/30's in case they ever need to use the 30 rounders they have stashed in their closets.
Man, I'm so sick of that too. Between the 10/30 mags and showing up with a SKS with bayonet, it's getting ridiculous. Fudd say " That gun is illegal guy" " You know what sir, it probably is but I'm going to shoot it anyways. Thanks"I have some Hexmag 10/30 mags. They work great. Only problem at the rifle range I get is fudds bitching at me for having illegal mags. I'm tired of explaining they're legal so I bought some 10's so I can be left alone
I don't think they are hexmags, they look nothing like them. I will check em out when I go there next weekI went and checked them out.
They're the Hexmag 10/30 magazines.
According to the Hexmag website, the internals are different than the standard 30 rd mags .
The spring is shorter and there is a spacer between the floor plate & spring. They cannot be converted to standard capacity without replacing the spring and removing the "True Riser" system ( spacer).
$14.99 , black & OD green if anyone is interested.
