$15 Bipod

Did damn near all my Christmas (yes Christmas and not "holiday") shopping on line and stumbled across a link (I think on slick gun deals or something like that) to a Bipod for around $15. I'm pretty much a firm believer of get what you pay for but I thought for 15, give it a try.

The make / name is XAegis and it only appears to be available through Amazon as I've googled them with few to no results.

Came in a couple day and I was surprised and honestly impressed with what I got. Came nicely boxed and included a picatinny adapter, which I didn't expect but was nice to have. Installed one on my Howa 22-250. Ordered 4 more (3 for me and one for my buddy) at about thte same price.

I don't want to get into a pissing contest on how it compares to a Harris or other "quality" make, just saying for what it is I would expect to pay at least 3-4 times the cost. I'll update after some actual usage.

That is a good find. The adapters tend to add a lot of height when you put it on a rail though.

This fixes the Harris bipod style (swivel type) for rail type applications.

For $15 I would expect it to be mediocre at best but it does have over 500+ reviews with a solid 4 out of 5 stars. I think I’ll give one a try. If nothing else it will make a decent.22/ .22mag bipod.

I'd be really surprised if this thing gives me any problems. Biggest complaint I read was they don't send directions. If you can't figure out how to mount it, you probably shouldn't be stroking a trigger either.

Is it wobbly? My experience with too many bipods is that they are excessively wobbly under load and throw off aim.

Not on the bench in my garage. Guess it would only wobble if you're moving around. I only squeeze the trigger when movement stops.

I think I have the same bipod, there are a dozen or so Chinese bipods exactly the same but different branding. I couldn't afford to spend a lot at the time so figured I'd try one of these. I'm actually happy with it. Longest chuck kill last summer off it with my Savage 22-250 was 330yds.

this one is very similar price, i have the cvlife which i really like. im thinking of getting another bipod for my r700, so if anyone has both or have tried both, which do you prefer?
