"Nazi rds"? What do the Nazi's have to do with the linked story? If it's in reference to the 9mm Parabellum round being German, it was developed in 1902. Hitler was only 13 at that time.

I like it. But here in New Yorkastan, why bother? I can do 9+1 in my standard size 9mm 1911.

I get 10+1 .45 ACP in my SIG.
Its just funny because the 9mm Para predates the .45 ACP. Kind of like how the ricer boys tout their DOHC engines as being more modern than the "dinosaur" American OHV engines despite Bugatti having a DOHC in 1912 and the first American OHV engines popping up around 1917.
Ehh Para Ord had the P18-9 in the late 80s early 90s.
What was the deal with Para Ordinance? Another one of those companies where its impossible to get a solid consensus on one way or the other.
They started as a paintball marker making company then moved into firearms. The only Para’s I buy are made in Canada. They IMHO are the best. When they moved to the USA they lost a lot of quality control. They may be better now but I still only buy the Canadian stuff.

Maybe I'm "old school" or maybe I'm just stuck in the 1990's but the Canadian Paras were the go-to gun for competition (USPSA) shooting in Limited division (just as Caspians were for Open) and I still prefer the heft of a metal frame wide body over the polymer double stacks of today.
As for the new ones, the Para is essentially a Remington with a different name. Think Dodge Aspen & Plymouth Volare. Same car, out of the same factory, with a different fender badge.
My son bought a Para Pro Comp 40 single stack a few years ago. This was one of their "out of the box, competition ready" guns. Thankfully, I knew a guy who used to be a Para repair rep and Grand Master shooter in the old days who made the gun usable.
