1911 question

I'd rather hit once with a 380 say, then miss 6 times with a 44. Everyone is different. Hell, even everyone's hands are different. I didn't like 45 until I shot the P227 and the M&P in 45.

Dare I say it... I’m leaning towards the 9mm. My 2 Smith’s are 9mm. I really like the 2.0. It fits my hand nicely. The ammo is cheaper and I always have some on hand. Lol.

Action shooting? Range use only? I suggest you focus on purpose and proceed from there. You may want to go with something that doesn't have all the goodies, and add as needed; a good platform on which to build.

I shot in my first match this past weekend. I shot a USPSA Action Pistol match in the Production class. Used my M&P 2.0. Had a lot of fun and I’m definitely hooked.

So with that I want my decision to be a practical one. I really want a 1911. I like the look and feel of it in my hand. I was really torn over getting it in .45 or 9mm. I don’t want to get a gun that I’m not going to use. But, after shooting in that Action Pistil match, that helped make up my mind and make my decision much easier. I decided on going with the the Sprinfield Range Office Elite Operator in 9mm.

Although, if the CZ Shadow 2 Black & Blue was in my price range, I would seriously be considering buying that instead of the 1911 if I could’ve handled it.

I welcome all advice and opinions. Thank you. That’s a nice looking CZ. It doesn’t have an ambi safety though. I’m a lefty.

DO Not Get a SPRINGFIELD, good guns, SHitty company! they tried some really horrible backhanded things to limit competition.

Get a 45ACP, you need some diversity! what happens if you cant get 9mm for a year?
Look what happen to the all mighty ubiquitous 22LR round in recent past. it has Hard or Near impossible to get except for crazy prices.

I have a colt in 9mm and SIG (Traditional slide) in 45acp, I like the 45 better. it just feels better!
