F'n bubba.

Not as much Bubba as improving function at the cost of collect-ability. This particular pistol belonged to an older guy who I used to shoot with. He was a WWII vet, probably got the pistol in the 50's or 60's when you could buy them mail order for $25 from the NRA. I bet it shoots as good as anything out there - just with extra holes and screws in the slide.

I still don’t think $500 on the 1911 was lowball. Having seen it in person, it’s been refinished and has a replacement barrell. It’s not worth what it sold for.

I agree that 1911 was not worth that having not seen it. Some one bought it and will be disappointed for sure.
