I fast forwarded most of this garbage. I see these people as losers. Always have. They change nothing. They act like they are doing a service, but in reality, nothing is accomplished. Well, they do accomplish one thing; they show all of Youtube how ridiculous they look.

They actually have brought awareness that you can film in public spaces. They have made it more normal by continuing to do it. In the beginning when these 1A audits started happening, the auditors were arrested and trespassed. Now they are not for the most part and the officers are being trained to leave them alone and they do for the most part. A DHS memo and a court decision has been rendered due to these auditors.
That’s not the case with firearms in most places. Some open carrier activists have succeeded in some places. They have made it more normal in places where it’s legal to do so. But since it isn’t done as often as these 1A Auditors, in many places even though legal, it still is taboo and law enforcement still sees it as threat.
Look at NY for example. Here in NY it is absolutely legal to do so with long guns. Yet it is still taboo to do so unless you are hunting and a call will be made if someone sees a NY resident open carrying a rifle downtown in Main Street.

Yep. Many have been arrested for doing so. Now they are doing it in numbers with multiple auditors. There is a term called mass audit. When someone gets arrested, these guys send a bunch of auditors to the same location over and over until they do not arrest someone for that anymore and Reinstruction is given to the officers.

The point is that they keep doing it at the same locations until they are left alone at that location and then they move to another one. They are educating people and law enforcement that it is a protected right. 2A activists aren’t this persistent.

Ok, I'll bite. These "audits" serve no purpose. Big deal, you can film in a federal building. The news does it all the time so I don't see the issue. Your average person isn't working around concerned that they can't film a guy sitting on a desk in the foyer of a federal building. Who the fuck cares? If we "audit" for the 2A, guys in black show up to strip it from us. You are not going to accomplish anything outside the ballot box and nyers' have proven too unmotivated to give a shit. Oh. But they do. Previously the police didn’t allow themselves to be filmed. Now they begrudgingly do for the most part. This isn’t just in federal buildings. They do this at car stops, DUI checkpoints, ect. It’s a whole organized movement. They go live on the internet and when they get interference from the police, the ones that are watching are calling the watch commander at the police station directly. Sometimes that makes the officer back down.

I agree with this. Cops used to think they were special snowflakes who got to not be filmed while in public and they generally know better now. It's videos like this that have established this as precedent.

Alright, I get some of what you say. But, ask yourself this, being I assume a younger guy, how did we (as in us that are older) survive the rampant corruption you say exists in policing when there were no cell phones and no go pros? I was man handled by the troopers. That's a fact. So we fucked with them back.
For instance, one night I wanted a soda at 2am. I walked down to the four corners in town where there was a soda machine. It was a nice warm summer night, I believe it was 1986. A trooper car drove by. Only an idiot would think they weren't coming back to make contact with me, just because.
I ran. I hid behind a nearby house because fuck them. Sure enough, they retuned and the hunt was on. Spotlights and endless cruising up and down. I timed my movement to coincide with their laps and actually had an adrenaline rush of a good time fucking with those idiots.
To me, that's more ballsy than filming the foyer of a building for no reason. I taught them a lesson too. The next time they saw me getting a soda at 2am, was it worth hours of their time to bother trying to make contact, or is it best to just drive on.
These first amendment auditors are the answer to a problem very few people were having. Just record the police regardless of what they say, if you are so inclined.

Rights are like a muscles. If you stop using them they wither away. More people should be doing this. Not just one guy but an organized group to back each other up.
