I have been watching this and this is the cheapest it's been. I have one already but ran out of space so I need another. It can also be brought upstairs (The reason I bought it).
What happens if there is a fire? Lets say you leave the house an your kids an their friends come over an have a party? Nothing safe about a gun cabinet.this all a gun safe should be ..

the world isn't meant to be safe ..
PS ... key pads on safe melts in the fire .. now what ??
Yeah having your guns in a glass cabinet is a much better option. What could go wrong?
Your right theres levels to everything. They are not life proof but offers the best protection you can get. I have a hard time believing the guns are rusted over after a few days of sitting in a damp environment. Maybe if the safe/guns were fully submerged ?From what I've seen, gun safes are safe only to a degree. When working on behalf of 4-5 different insurance companies I had the pleasure of going thru and inspecting peoples homes where gun safes and their contents were subject to and damaged by fire.... House on fire gets heavily doused by cold water. Hours later, or sometimes a day or two later, I show up with Cause & Origin guys from the ins. co., plus fire dept. investigators, and sometimes the police, enter the bldg. to investigate. At some point, maybe a day or three later, the bldg. is "cleared" and the home owner and or contractors are allowed entry. After sitting in the damp environment for a few or more days the gun safe gets opened, often by force, and the guns are rusted. After disassembly, cleaning and oiling they might be safe to shoot, but aesthetically they're shot'n pissed on.
At my last two houses I found and or created hides for my toys and valuables. In time I'll do the same here in my current 1850 built new to me house. I have no plans or desire to spend $$ on a gun "safe". And/butt, I'll have to show my daughter where I stashed my stuff, because I'm getting old and forgetful

The father of one of my friends kept his rifles in a cabinet like this right in the living room. Nobody ever touched anything in that cabinet. We knew it was off limits and respected each others parents enough to follow the rules of whatever house we were visiting. These cabinets were very popular going back to the 1950's or so.this all a gun safe should be ..

You have heard of waterproof safes have you not and I am willing to bet many of your company's clients have them. They are becoming standard offerings when it comes to gun safes, or so it seems. From what I've seen, gun safes are safe only to a degree.
