awesome deer guys!
got my first crossbow deer Friday. we was chasing some does and never knew I was there. shot was a little forward but he was angling toward me, he went about 50 yards before piling up.
rage 2 blade sure did the trick. funky little 4.5 pointer. think I need to stop borrowing the wife's crossbow and get my own.

Which means just right for hunting.
pretty much. I missed two deer with my bow this year (both arrows hit something on their way to the deer and deflected). They'll still be there this coming up weekend.

Well I hate to admit it but I failed this bow season. First year EVER I did not fill tags. Been with right eye problem for three years not seeing pin up close in peep site on deer kill zone. I have two this year wounded with bow. Time to hang up my favorite deer weapon, Fill all my tags during bow season with just gun buck tag left over. But it came to and end to admit my bow EYE is done, can't gut shoot deer wounding them, makes me upset. On to the easy way gun scope season grrrr

Sorry for the troubles. Can you learn to shoot left handed and use your better eye? Transition to a crossbow (I know it's not the same)?

Nah, my thing was always the Bow, no cheating with crossbow. I use to drag race open mod drag sleds, Motor had NOS explosion, brass clutch bushing parts hit my right eye under shield years back, they said few years ago scar tissue moved across the lens, (like broken camera) and to check back each year with laser technology to fix it. I hunted Bow since 1969 LOL in shorts with my two Carp... I'm done !!!! Had hell of 40+ years Hunting Hoyts..... LOVED IT,

Hey, before you give up bow hunting try getting rid of the peep. My dad was going to stop bow hunting and got rid of the peep, learn to shoot without it. At first one eyed then two eyed, prolonged his bow hunting about six years before he got too old to pull the bow. Anyway worth a try!

Ya I was thinking maybe try recurve instinctive shooting like Robin. IDK... I'm still in good shape pulling same 65+lbs as I was in all years with bow. 62lbs was what I used for years.... Can pull 70 but 62 shoots best for me for years.
When I started bow hunting with my compound I didn't use a peep. Give it a try.

Put on a kisser button and give it a go. If it's just the peep giving you trouble, it's worth a shot.
