I am going to try for PCC on Saturday, schedule allowing.
Headed out tomorrow. The abysmally damp and grey weather of Central PA is 'sposed to clear up a little by then.
I will be using my brand spanking new Galil Ace 308 tomorrow. Iron sights only. Lets see what happens. I do have some 175gr Gold Medal Match for it. One box. 500 rounds of 150gr American Eagle ball and 100 rounds of Tula steel case. Imma gonna go see if I can find any Hornady steel match.

Same here. I am going out as well. Wanted to go out yesterday but didn't want to deal with the on and off rain. Going to use my Enfield for the 100 yard iron sight... do i get a bonus for using a 108 year old rifle?

@dsdmmat, can you start uploading higher resolution images so the arent so blurry please?
I went today to sight in the red-dot on the Ruger PC9! It was all over the place, after about 50rds I had enough closed the bi-pod one went to 11:00 the other 2:00! lost a nut off the pivot on one side. Back tomorrow after I fix it!
Then again I'm not really competing in any of his categories. Headed out now, got 500 rounds of 223 HP match, 620 rounds of assorted 308 and 400 rounds assorted 9mm. No I will not be likely to shoot all of that. Or even most of it. Gonna zero the Galil, shoot for score and mess around for only a little bit. Sunny, calm and cool today. Perfect!

OK so i either beat @MikeyCNY or tied him at the 10 yard pistol. Either way couldn't let him have all the glory this month. I will leave the target scoring up to the judge. I would score the pistol as 100 with a 4x but it is most likely a 99 with a 4x. If i put a round on the one in the 9 ring part of the round does sit on the line so it is a call for the judges. The 100 rifle target is kind of sad but hey i haven't shot that rifle in almost 4 years... see below for what entries.

Not gonna be able to turn anything in today. Had some trouble with the Galil today, need to send it in. Was shooting some Tula steel case and one ruptured. Ginna have it looked at. Calling it a day.
I feel for you... I racked a 308 in my einfiled.... luckily it just got stuck half way into the chamber and i had to ram it out.

Ha ha ha. Only laughing cause i always say dont run steel and everyone tells me how they NEVER have problems with steel etc etc.
So you saved $.10 per round and now your new $1800 gun has to be sent in for repairs and you cant play with it.

You didn't say anything to me about steel!! This is your fault! Anyway things may not be as dire as I thought. I now think I had a case stick and the extractor tore the rim up trying to yank it out. I can see no obvious damage to the gun anywhere. I'll do a whole thread with pics when I get home.
Yeah, no more steel case in the Galil. I'll run steel in a 7.62x39 or 5.45x39 gun but those cases are heavily tapered to avoid the extraction issues of steel cases. In 7 62x51 or 5.56x45 I'll stay with brass.

I am new to pistols,but wanted to record something to track my improvement...hopefully I improve . I printed out 4 targets,first try was my best .My hats off to you pistol shooters, going to take me some practice to shoot near what you folks do. My first shot got me(5), that trigger will take some getting used to.

Thanks for encouragement folks,fun is what it's about for me .My Son is just getting serious about shooting(at age 28) so it has rekindled my love for shooting...having a lot of fun . Pistol shooting is very humbling,but man is it fun.
