2018 Shooter of the Year Target Challenge
Rules
Entry posts must be marked "Official Entry"
Challenge must be completed in the same range session as it was started.
Entries must be shot and posted between 1-31 January
Print on 8.5x11 sheet of paper (should fill full sheet).
Only one target may be entered per category. Once you enter a target set it is your score for that category. Any additional targets posted will be for "kudos" only. You may enter one to all categories if you wish.
Final tie breaker is date and time of entry
Information required with each entry (any target submitted without the information below will not be considered):
Picture of target with the following information (examples given):
Description of gun ( Remington 783, 38-06, 12-56x56 Simmons super spotter scope)
Distance (100 yards)
Stance or rest used (sandbag front and rear)
Caliber/Cartridge (.30-06 Springfield)
Load used (750 gr SHPBT, 59.5 grains H9002sc, CCI primer)/ whatever factory load you used.
Date (32 Juvember 2317).
The scenario: Just like The TV Show Survivor, you have made it to the final round. Shoot your targets and post them. Be the best in any category to be crowned NYFG Shooter of the Year 2018.
Stance to use:
10 Yard Pistol Stance: Free style
25 yard Rifle Stance: Off Hand
50 yard Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC) Stance: Freestyle or Bench Rest
100 yard Rifle Stance: From the Bench/ Bench Rest / Prone
100 yard Red dot/iron sight rifle stance: From the Bench/ Bench Rest/ Prone
Course of fire:
10 rounds – Pistol/PCC targets
10 rounds- SR1 target (you can use a full sized target or the PDF)
5 rounds – 25 and 100 yard rifle. Bullseye target one per bullseye.
Scoring:
Bullseye targets: Score rings are on the target, a hit on the line counts for the higher score. A hit in the X ring counts as 10/1X.
Target to use
10 yard pistol and use the Pistol 10 yard/PCC 50 yard/Rifle 300 yard target (Single Bull)
25 and 100 Yard Rifle use the Rifle 25/ 100 yard target (6 bull)
50 yard PCC use the Pistol 10 yard/PCC 50 yard/Rifle 300 yard target (Single Bull)
No rimfire cartridges are allowed in the PCC class.
100 yard no mag red dot/ iron sight use the SR1 target (Single Bull)
