My friend's neighbor found the coyote this morning. Surprisingly, it made it through the goldenrods and a little patch of woods ( about 200 yards total ) and another 200 yards into a corn field that was cut short for silage. He happened to see the coyote laying in the field, and was going to shoot it but could tell it wasn't moving at all. He took a walk out to see, and it was stiff. He said it had a hole in the neck and one in the chest. No fur for me, but chickens and ducks aren't being terrorized anymore. Well, not by that one, anyway.
