My thirty eats anything.maybe @Dayten .. not sure what his 06 will eat up ...
That specific stuff is M2 spec'd so the Schuster plug isn't necessary. I suppose the powder used could have a different pressure curve than the original load but the muzzle velocity matches the M2 spec. Not a bad price, the privy stuff is good Garand food. I put a Schuster ported gas plug in my Garand just in case. I normally shoot 125 grain Sierras over 47.5 grains of IMR 4895 nice 0-200 yard load.
20,000?!!!!Still thankful I bought 20K rounds of non-corrosive milsurp from CMP when it was about $0.12 per. Those were the days.
yeah I know, The Schuster plug isn't necessary to shoot M2 but it is cheap insurance and it keeps the gun from beating itself to death. That specific stuff is M2 spec'd so the Schuster plug isn't necessary. It is certainly nice to be able to tailor the gas levels in any case. How many adjustment levels do the Schuster plugs have?yeah I know, The Schuster plug isn't necessary to shoot M2 but it is cheap insurance and it keeps the gun from beating itself to death.
My mistake, on the Garand it is a nonadjustable hi volume non ported model M1 Garand High Volume Gas Plug my M1A is the non adjustable vented/ported one. The high volume plugs defiantly make both rifles nicer to shoot. It is certainly nice to be able to tailor the gas levels in any case. How many adjustment levels do the Schuster plugs have?
