My point to this is simple....

I have had about enough of this shit. There is a park about a block from my son's school.

This is not a gun issue, this is an asshole issue and I have had enough.

Five students, some are fighting for their lives because one asshole decided to shoot at them.

This may have been a gang violence type attack, I do not care. The time has passed to really work at ending this shit.

If it was an act of gang violence, which some are saying, the time has pssed to go into these high gang and high crime areas and take out the trash.

I get it, police cannot protect all, hell, rate that they can protect even a few.
They can however, crack down some on the gang violence in the area. That park is well know for drugs and violence.

Definitely a people issue, not a poverty issue. When I was growing up, all of the people in my area were hard working, blue color types. Not very much disposable income; almost poor actually. The entire neighborhood was kept up. People did their best to maintain their property's; mow the lawn, weed the gardens, etc.

We have an enemy among us, they are everywhere. They are trash and they are vermin. Until the decent really step up, we will continue to fall deeper and deeper.

Absolutely true. The so called "State of emergency" in rochester is a sham, as Bob Lonsberry has pointed out. The mayor and the city council demonized the police and the last thing they want is an increased police presence in the city. The cynicism of democratic politicians is really beyond the pale.
