I have a Barrett, single shot, and have the reloading press for it too. I've only used factory loads so far. It's an impressive piece of hardware. I can't imagine humping it very far, plus the ammo too.

I like the safety harbor option posted in the "loudest AR" thread. I hope they become available again, they are on my radar.

I was able to shoot the Barret at a plastic 50 gal. drum filled with water once @ 50 yds. , the energy transfer actually lifted the drum off the ground. It was very impressive.

Might be thinking of the Hesse/Vulcan guns which by all accounts were shit. One of those did send a bolt into someone's shoulder.
Haven't heard anything about the Serbus.

I have only 3 50 bmg's now.
Serbu Semi, AR50 Bench rifle and a OLR shell holder carbine.
I shoot them at 50 to over 1,000 yards and no matter what range, it still puts a smile on my face.
The only reason not to own a 50, is if you have no place to shoot it.
If that's the case, Move !

last 4th of July friends were shooing a 50 under 50 yrds .. gotta love the small 2A town in NY .. the few of us .. i had to work and missed out shooting ..
the 50 .. and spent 200 bucks on fireworks for that day .. the boss at work knew for that day weeeks ahead of time .. Grrrr .. what ever ..
