6:20 AM - Sept 16 Yote in the yard real pretty too.

Coming out of shower, look out the window and catch a movement.
Coyote (which I first thought was a Fox due to it's color)
This one is a redish blond - size of a small german shepard much bigger that a fox though.
Trots out of the woods across the yard sniffing where the deer had been feeding.
There I am, in my skivvies, no camera. I tried my best rabbit distress call but nothing doing. It must of thought, damn that is one big rabbit. It stopped and dashed back into the woods.

I have seen them at night either in my headlights when pulling in or when I hit the yard light and they dash away, but never in daylight, or at least dawn.
Most that I have seen were mangy but this one had a real pretty almost fawn colored coat. Light tan to strawberry blonde. I will put out a trail cam tonight.

Last summer I was sitting here on the computer 10:00 am on a Sunday morning and a good size yote walked right past the window! Then I got thinking I haven't seen any rabbits around the front like usual. By the time I got out the door with the 22 mag it was gone into the woods!

He sure makes a big deal about eating a dead animal. I have never eaten coyote but I certainly would.
Also, when you over cook any meat it tastes gamey and bad IMO.

I don't know if I'd be so willing to eat yote lol. The guys over at the Predator Masters forum had this discussion before. Most everyone said no way, a few said they'd eat anything, a couple said they've tried before and NEVER do it again. They claim there's no way to cook a yote to get past the terrible taste lmao.
