82nd Airborne Division Arrives to DC Metro Area with Black Hawks and Chinooks

An 82nd Airborne Division’s Immediate Response Force battalion arrived to Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland Monday evening for a civil unrest mission in the nation’s capitol, according to sources.


The IRF battalion — which deployed to Iraq earlier this year to quell Iran-backed violence — brought approximately 750 soldiers, ten Black Hawk helicopters, and four Chinooks, according to sources. The helicopters are utility, not attack, and are used to transport troops short distances.

Jump school, Ranger Schools, Pathfinder Schools, everything. MP’s train just like infantry and police. They actually deploy amongst regular army to Iraq and Afghanistan just like any other unit

My First SGT was a Ranger. I and many others were former Marines. We had former Airborne guys, Cavalry, leg infantry, Air Force MP’s, active cops, Swat guys, everything.

We trained CQB, structure assaults, convoy security, patrols, ambushes, everything. Holding lines as well. Cuomo is full of shit.

That's the side that enjoys a good fight and the shutting off the higher thinking that goes along with it. No military action against civilians on U.S. soil, period. No one, who understands what the founding fathers' concerns regarding oppression and the military were when they drafted the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, should support using troops against civilians who are merely committing crimes and are not in open revolt against the government. Revolt or treason is the line where you get to "domestic enemy", not rioting and looting.
