9mm 1911

been thinking about buying a 9mm 1911 style pistol. pretty much narrowed it down to a Colt competition a Kimber target 11 or a remington. any thoughts I have a Kimber custom target now in stainless absolutely love it but hate the stainless look Haven't had a COLT in awhile there in the running cause they make a blued gun Remington maybe because I like there rifles. let's hear it

Do it. I've got a Rock Island in 9mm and its a lot of fun. Frame to slide fit is similar to the Colt, but not as good as the Remington. Stock triggers on the Colt, Remington and Rock Island are similar. The sights on the Rock Island are weaker than the others.

The recoil is very light and its very accurate.
I believe its a Rock Island.

Kimber - paying for the name, getting a LOW to MID (and even low on the mid part) level 1911 for the price of a MID to HIGH level 1911, and will be great at doing what 1911s do best.. jam

Colt - well meh you are still probably paying for the roll mark on the side.

Remington - hahahahahahhahahaha

Rock Island - best deal for what you are getting

its very dependable and very nice to shoot, i would recommend it without reservation.

I have the colt competition in 9mm but the stainless model. I like it. The weight of the gun makes the recoil so light.

I know it’s an incredible pistol but so damn expensive. I’ve got a Remington 1911 r1s and it’s a solid pistol just not the ideal manufacturer but it may be worth a look. Rock island Armory gets great reviews as well.

very true, the Guardian leaped to the front of my mind as it has been a long standing offer in 9mm.

I’m thinking of buying the ruger commander in 9mm light weight for edc. It’s $700-$800 and it’s pretty nice looking pistol. I have to find one in person first.

Although I already have an EMP, I purchased a Dan Wesson Valkyrie 9mm. I haven’t seen it yet but the price was great and has all the extras I wanted.
