Sorry, ya can't have'm.Nice sheets. Now I want a set.
Thank you!Sweet build, and since when has Newegg sold gun parts?
Considering this buffer kit. If weight is a big factor regarding the buffer this one is pretty heavy. It's heavier than the Blitzkrieg buffer that is 75$ by itself. I'm not knocking them and I'm not opposed to spending the money on the component if it's truly the best one, I am looking foe something that is available and would be a comparable alternative. If it's less expensive great! I know very well how a brand or product can quickly get a rep and take off and before you know it, everyone says its the go to and that ends up justifying the high dollar price. I know, buy once cry once but... Kaw Valley Precision Pistol Caliber Carbine 6pos Mil-Spec Stock Hardware Kit w/ KVP 7.5oz Blowback Buffer
I thought about trying that trigger guard with my thordsen but I have stubby digits, how big are your hands?I've started to build the lower and as I suspected, @bulletguy extended trigger guard works great with the Thordsen stock. Makes it very stable. Obviously I won't know until I finish it and actually shoot it, but so far the two seem to work well together! View attachment 23330

AR9 for scale.
No, it seems the same as just using the Thordsen. But I'm a lefty so maybe it doesn't count?Does it make it harder to reach the ambi safety with your forefinger?
I can't decide on hand guard length. I originally said 12" but now I'm thinking 10.5. First world problems, I know. I've googled for pictures Etc. I'm just having trouble picturing which one will look better. The MI hand guard is very slim. I found a good deal on either one and they are only 8 dollars apart in price. Looking for opinions.

Got the bolt in the mail today. Wiped it down with some eezox and put it in my 9mm upper, closed the upper to the lower and pull back on the charging handle....bolt gets stuck after going back an inch...ugh. thought it might be the buffer retainer plunger, but that is where it should be and didn't show signs of wear on the bolt. Decided to put the 9mm upper on my other lower and it cycled fine. Different buffer and spring, but I don't think those were to blame. I think the buffer tube on my 9mm lower isn't right.

Hmm, what do you think is wrong with the buffer tube?
It was neither. It is my AR15 bolt catch. This lower is supposed to have last round bolt hold open. It has a U shaped bar that interfaces with the follower and is supposed to actuate the AR bolt stop, but the bolt stop isn't long enough, so when installed it sits wrong on the U shaped bar and sticks up enough to hinder the bolt. Ugh!Check the buffer retainer again.

I can get the catch to sit where it should in order for it to sit flush for the bolt, but the holes on the receiver and the catch don't line up.WHAAAAAT?
I have built 25 of those lowers and have never had a single issue.
What you desribe is not your issue i am sure.
I have even built them with the tier 5 and they function perfectly......so you cant be having that trouble with a factory button b
Okay. But when I removed the catch the bolt is able to be cycled properly. So it can't be the tube. With the catch in the bolt won't charge properly. It only moves back an inch and gets stuck. It has to sit in top of that little bump
I guess I can try grinding down the catch some? @Bullet Guy how much are the bolts you use?
