I found a Arex Rex Zero compact 9mm. You should buy it! I'm trying to talk myself out of it....

If you like hammers and decockers and more of a full sized profile, it would serve you well.

My dad has a revolver chambered in 45-70. I had to ask, "Why?" his reply was, "Because." good enough for me. He likes it and it makes him happy. It will be mine one day. I am not sure what I am going to do with it.

Is there anything still chambered in 9x25? It was always such a niche cartridge and didn't last very long in any case. If you want to go numb with muzzle blast why not get one of those ridiculous derringers chambered in .223 or 7.62x39?

I shot an IPSC stage in Phoenix and was behind Robbie Latham while he was firing his 9x25 Dillon. The shockwaves coming from the sides of that thing were incredible, it felt like standing next to the muzzle of a M2.

• Kinetic energy kills armor. Not surprised by the test. I would expect the 165/155 grain 40 and 185 grain 45 to perform better against sheet metal than the heavy for caliber 180 and "standard" 230.
  
• Bullet nose shape has a large influence on hard barrier penetration. I just sat though some interesting presentations on Ballistic Peridynamics (particularly for sand impacts on missle domes). I would be interested in finding some papers on its application to bullet impacts. At the very least there should be some cool animations.
