If you read the entire article you see that the charges are just preliminary. When the police arrived on the scene they found one person dead. I’m pretty sure from reading the article that charges will be dropped after the investigation is completed. The POS killed was a fucking monster and should have never been back out on the street.

He was charged, arrested, and paid bond/bail. I didn’t think we lived in a country where you are charged then investigated. Don’t we investigate first then charge people if appropriate? Biden wasn’t charged with removing classified documents then proved not guilty or dropped charges. We investigate and charge accordingly and my first line was I know they are preliminary but something tells me if this pressure wasn’t put on I think the charges would stick. I don’t get a good feeling about the cops statements.

I hate the way our justice system works.
Of course there should always be an investigation, but why have "preliminary" charges?! Do the fucking investigation THEN make whatever charges are appropriate, if any. Pretty sure that in almost every State and municipality in the Nation, use of force, deadly Force is justifiable to prevent kidnapping and or rape!

And arrest and or charge would then be malicious prosecution and the arrestee should treat it as such whenever released!

Plenty of jurisdictions have encountered similar scenarios and actually quickly release the person if interest... Not here? Why?
