Curious as to make & model
A simple pic would clear things up.Is it an actual Springfield model 30-06 ?
Yes you do.Doesn’t NYC require some sort of license or permit for long guns and shotguns?
If the rifle is exchanged in Pennsylvania it's perfectly legal.
You still need to register any long gun you purchase or get transferred to you if you plan on keeping them in the city limits.May not be worth it for OP to hold onto it for sentimental reasons because "NYC" requires a permit to possess any rifle or shotgun. And all long guns must be "registered" with NYPD (unless that changed.)
Not true because you need to be a resident of PA to do this legally. If the rifle is exchanged in Pennsylvania it's perfectly legal.
I’m a moderator on another forum and a guy posted for sale an illegal firearm so I deleted it and reached out to him about why I deleted it and explained if he was LE or in PA fine but specify it.I choose to believe we're all law abiding folks who all follow all the laws, rules, codes, etc. even if we don't post every detail of every transaction.
There's no reason to speculate otherwise. The goons in the purple ties do it for us.
