Yep. Me too. Full 360 degree Kydex or nothing. Even the hybrid holsters with leather on the back and kydex on the front can fail. That is why I am moving to kydex, or similarly rigid, holsters only.
My big problem with the hybrids is they lose retention once the leather side molds in. I have a crossbreed for my shield that used to retain the gun if you flipped it over and shook it. Now it just falls out when you turn it over. I am hesitant to replace it though as I'm looking to maybe replace the Shield with the P365.Yep. Me too. Full 360 degree Kydex or nothing. Why not? I have done it for many years. There should be no problems at all with a pistol like a Glock in such a holster. I never had any problems carrying a Glock in a leather holster so long as my gun and holster were both in good shape and thus that means: I had no problems at all - not ever - even when using the same holster for several years. I now use a Kydex holster with leather belt attachment for my Glock 26 but only because my son bought it as a gift for me and it works well too. Yet, I still like leather holsters, high quality ones; I recently ordered one for my Glock 30.Don't carry a striker fire pistol with a "trigger safety" in a leather holster worn or not so worn.
That holster looked like it was made to holster a baked potato, not a gun. Looked like some "universal" POS holster.

"When I straightened again, my Glock 19 discharged, blowing a 9mm hole through my pants, underwear, the leather seat and bottom of the car’s door frame."
A 9mm would be lucky to get though the underwear and pants, maybe the seat but no way it went through the door frame.
