Additional Mag-Wells Coming For The Ruger PC9

A friend of mine went out to the Shot Show last week. I asked him if he got a chance to stop at the Ruger booth and ask about addition mag-wells ( partially I am interested in one for the S&W M&P 9mm) Well I saw him yesterday and he says Ruger told him yes other mag-wells are coming, but had no release date or other info at this time!

So til then I will still be using the Magpul Pmags for a G17 which have worked flawlessly! But I do really want to pair this little carbine with my M&P as I have 12 mags for them to share.

I agree! And friend at the Club tried to do a M&P conversion like the YouTube video and it was hit and miss! fortunately it doesn't ruin the mag.

I agree with this also! And you may only need the barreled half and different bolt face for some. 40SW would interest me as my M&P is a 40 converted to 9mm and I have 5 mags (should of picked up more from 44Mag.com as I think they are going out of business $12.00 ea was a great deal!)

I wound up getting a Ruger SR9 as I didn't care for my M&P .
It sux that the Ruger mag that comes with the NY PCC is for the SR9c and wont' fit the SR9.
I tried to find some extended magazine bases to go from compact to full size as I did with some M&P mags that I got from 44mag.com.
Can't find any. Ruger is of no help as mag parts are not available . MecGar is under contract to not sell mags or parts either.

You would think that Ruger would have made magwells and accessories available by now.

I agree about the mag-well being available but R&D does take time. In one of the videos I watched it did say other companies were not successful with getting last-round-bolt-hold-open with the Glock mags but Ruger did! So I do want that feature with the M&P mags also as I am sure other pistol brand owners also want.

It's to bad that 44mag.com is closing up I got a lot of good deal there!

In the gun industry this translates to “never”.

We are still waiting for the mpx caliber conversions to name one.....

I hate to say it, but I doubt we will ever see a 10mm. Maybe a .45 and .40...maybe.


9mm far outsells all the others when it comes to pccs. I think it is something like 10 to 1. I may be wrong, but it seems like I've heard this before.

I also bet all the guys saying they would buy a 10mm probably wouldn't actually. Once you look at the price of feeding it, you'll probably just buy a rifle in .223.
